How good are Willie Cauley-Stein and Looney? This GSW tax situation could be something good for us, but other teams will have the same idea.

Down with Poeltl. He'd be an instant upgrade over Kanter. Also down with Looney. Both solid options as cheap bigs who are young and wouldn't require much to get them. Could potentially be big steals for us further down the line.
Scorer options i like are Burks, Bertans.

Poeltl is the best opton imo, but I wouldnt move kanter for him.
Gwill and a pick for poeltl. Imo
Have theis be backup pf and kanter at center.
Bench is basically
Wannamaker
Smart
Semi
Theis
Kanter
Great defenders to cover for kanter and stopping drives and theis helps from the weakside. Kanter can score for us off the bench.
Eventually if langford becomes anything worthwhile he takes semi's spot.
Starters
Kemba
Brown
Hayward
Tatum
Poeltl.
Poeltl will be brilliant in stevens defensive schemes.

Yeah, good enough that your second sentence is correct. I think it takes some sweetening on two fronts, one to GSW, one to the team with cap space. As far as I know, that's only ATL. https://www.spotrac.com/nba/cap/
So, you gotta ply them with a pick and see how little you can give back to GSW. Hopefully the tax savings is enough. Normally they'd have to pay to dump into cap space, but Looney is good enough, i don't think they do.
Not sure how many teams will want to make it worth it to ATL.

I can't remember exactly what I had before in my Poeltl deal a while back, but I think it was Poirier/Semi/pick. Basically Poeltl is the upgrade to Vincent so we don't need him too. Semi could be useful to Pop, they're light on swings besides Gay. Poirier gives him at least someone to play backup C.
I'm a little less interested in it now, tho. I'd still do it, but don't think a true C is our biggest need. I want another mobile big like Theis instead, which makes Looney perfect to me. Esp if you get WCS in the deals as well for small minutes against the behemoths of the league.

Poirier can be a part of the deal, i think semi is more important to us as another wing too though. Imo he is currently primary backup sf.

I think we could survive with staggering and hopefully Romeo. Then Grant/Green. But, I'm not sure Poeltl is worth it anymore.

I’m definitely not for this but I wouldn’t be actually surprised to see Ainge trade Tatum & Brown to get Beal.
It might sound crazy but Danny’s the type of guy to to do that.
As i stated before (so no one goes off at me) I’m not for this.

At this point I wouldn’t trade Brown, but I would consider packaging Tatum and assets for an Elite big if we could.
Starting 5 of Kemba Smart Brown Hayward and Elite Big. Doubt it’s possible or Ainge is even considering it. I do think Tatum will play better so I’m not even sure I would trade him.

I wouldn’t give up Tatum for Beal but I would give up brown. I don’t think beals cost is both of them. That’s an overpay but if brown keeps this play up it could be brown + Memphis to get it done at all. Beal will have real high demand.
I’d like to get Beal and Tatum together, they are close and 2 kids from St. Louis.

Ainge should try to pry Mo Bamba away from the Orlando Magic. I could live with the TimeLord and Bamba for the next 8-10 years.

Beal is not that superstar top 10 player you claim we absolutely have to have but even I would go for trading Brown for Beal in a heartbeat and it would make us very serious contenders.

Looking at the rosters of bottom feeders and Larry Nance jr is another player that would help. He's more of a mobile big that can guard the perimeter and is making 3's now. Don't know if Danny can match 12 mil in a trade and honestly have no idea if he's even available.

Keep in mind that Beal is the first option in Washington. And 3 years older than Jaylen.

What would you guys give for Capela? He's doing 14ppg &15rpg.He also runs the court all game, good paint D, good shot blocker, 25 years old, contract locked-in on the best non-rookie scale deal for a 5 in the league (at right under $15M this season)
Would y'all do Smart, Kanter, and a 1st rounder
It is a fair trade as long you expect that 1st rounder to be '20 BOS or MI. This is probably a mistake long term but I just don't think right now the deal makes sense for Boston. Capela isn't going to upgrade Boston's line up enough to offset losing Smart's defense and energy as well as Kanter's size and production.
Boston just doesn't have any salary to move right now without really impacting its rotation. They are going to have to make a tough call on Hayward because he is really the only move-able piece at this point.

Nope he’s not but he’s much much much closer than brown. He’s 27 7 & almost 5. Right now. Albeit it’s on a bad team but I think he’s the perfect personality for Boston and his play style would mesh with brad and the Celtics pretty seamlessly. He also will be just turning 27 next season and while he is not the top 10 player, I believe he’s in the 12 -16 range and would allow the departure of Hayward to be easier if they decide to let that happen.
We also would still have Tatum and we can sit and watch his development. I don’t know who will become available in the next 8-16 months, the nba is a ever changing landscape and while Beal is NOT the kill shot and I understand waiting for that or hoping for that to happen he is a major upgrade and I wouldn’t hesitate trading brown for him.

You're not telling me anything I don't know already but don't act like Tatum is some untouchable player. The only reason he won't be available for a star player of Beal's ilk is because he doesn't have the salary ballast to make it happen. Fact is Jaylen has been better to date and if you can't acknowledge that then it's just about the agenda you keep pushing.
And please enough comparing Jaylen to current star players, I get it. I never said he was gonna be the next superstar but he's more than on his way to earning that contract which by the way won't be an albatross that some are suggesting it's gonna be.
If you were to ask me last season about Tatum's potential I would of said top 10, but I'm not seeing it as of now. Unfortunately he's becoming exactly what I thought he'd before that draft happened, a very good player but not a star prospect that a #1 pick should command. I certainly hope I'm wrong and I still haven't lost complete hope at all.
