Last time i checked harden was averaging like 38 min, compare that to giannis who's at 31min.

I kind of feel like I'm possibly missing out on one of the greatest individual team and individual successes in nba history. Like I don't know for sure but maybe the warriors record is in jeopardy, no one is in awe of what giannis is doing or anything, almost its take for granted. If he were on the lakers or knicks and they won 17 games the media would be talking about it all the time. Is this a facade, or maybe its just not a big deal or what, I'm not sure.

AD is clear cut on the Lakers. Lakers miss playoffs last year, they get AD and all of a sudden the top record. Also AD leads teams in PER and Scoring.

On this run they have played three teams with a winning record: Jazz, Clippers, Pacers. I don't mean to take anything away from them. They are a dominant team. A true contender, if not the outright favorite. But this streak has come during the soft part of their schedule. Things will get interesting now, the Mavs, Lakers, Pacers, 76ers make up 4/6 of their next opponents.

People throwing out the big stats tonight with, as usual, big numbers going around from the usual top 5 MVP contenders. Context of per 36 below.

Harden 54/5/7 - +21 in a 23 point win (played 36 mins)
Giannis 50/15/3 +26 in a 13 point win (played 27 mins)
Davis 31/9/1 +11 in a 3 point win (played 38 mins)
Lebron 27/9/12 +9 in a 3 point win (played 37 mins)

That’s what order I would put them in (and I’m a Mavs fan). The MVP has usually gone to the best player on the best team. Giannis and Labron fit that description. Luka and Harden are AMAZING to watch but their teams are not at the top of the standings so it will be hard for them to win it.

You mean a 3 man race

Giannis
Harden
Luka

Small market, bad division, conference with very few 1st tier stars. That causes the lack of media exposure. When Warriors were winning 73 they were touring around a tougher west conference facing all NBA team members night in and night out. Can you say the same about Bucks games?

I've seen a few articles here and there predicting the Bucks' win streak, but yeah if it was the Lakers the media would be all over it. The good news? They have Mavs, Lakers, Philly soon coming up in their schedule. "Statement games" are what attracts media attention.

100% agree with your point about statement games..but then ESPN doesn't cover Bucks vs Clippers with all stars playing :-(

The bucks blew out the clippers by 40+ and one gave a ****. Bucks beaten the Mavs, lakers and philly isn’t going to change a thing

Also I’m loving the romanticising of the 73 win warriors “facing all NBA team members night in and night out” just lol

It's not what I feel, it's what I think is happening through the lens of media. They are taking what Giannis is doing for granted just like what they are doing with Harden. "Bucks trashing their opponents by 30 again, Giannis 35/15, +26, sounds pretty normal". "Harden 55 pts, 20pts in the 4th quarter, no biggie". How many media members are talking about Luka triple double right now? But Bucks' insane SRS? Nobody gives a ****.

It is what it is. Sometimes I will chalk it up to "what's benefiting you, can be hurting you at the same time".

Not even if they’re top 10 in some advanced stats?

Nope, because there is literally no value to leading a .400 team.. None
