Lowry would be perfect... if he was 26 years old.

The Sixers aren't trading Simmons for an almost 34-year-old. C'mon now.

Simmons is an offensive liability against good teams in the playoffs. He doesn't have much value, you can't win with him. The 76ers would be smart to move him when they can.

He's had a nice career. Good luck to him in his Winter years.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Sixers have been looking better. They just beat several good teams while resting Horford. Simmons has been a major factor in their success.

Ben has his own issues but you won't find another guy who is as good a facilitator and defender as him in this league.

Forget the 24 and 11 last night. Dude held Kemba to 1-for-8 in the 2nd half on Thursday night.

I love how people like the OP focus on what he can't do...as opposed to what he DOES.

Classic RealGM. Nice.

Exactly. If the path to a title is through Kawhi Leonard Simmons is likely one of the better options for at least slowing him down.

His FT percentage also seems to improve in the play-offs in any case.

I get the frustration with his shooting though, it is really annoying that a player who would be close to unstoppable if he could shoot even at a mediocre level can't or won't shoot, and seems moreover to have an attitude problem in regard to shooting although some of the latter may be an invention of these boards.

The Sixers do seem in need of a clutch time closer, and that Embiid is not one either is not entirely on Simmons imo. Maybe betting everything on this season by signing Butler for the money and years he wanted would have given them a better shot at a single title this year, but I could see such a move proving to be problematic down the line.

This was my first thought. Jrue Holiday & JJ Redick for Ben Simmons. The salaries are close enough (next year, anyways).

For New Orleans & Simmons, you have a fit for the style of play that best suits Zion & Simmons, and Hayes for that matter. You have Simmons familiarity with Louisiana. Not critical, but ya know maybe he isn't throwing a tantrum, like if he was dealt to Orlando or somewhere like that.

For Philly, I think Elton Brand is in a prove it to us phase with ownership. He might be ready to make a drastic move like this, ownership might be too. With Jrue Holiday you get a guy in his prime & an excellent defender, a guy who is able to operate in the half-court. With Redick, you get the guy back you've been missing all season.

It works. But, it probably won't happen.

Still think people are underestimating Philly's playoff potential. They gave the Raps the toughest run last year and their size is going to give Milwaukee and Boston problems in the playoffs.

Earvin was a career 84.8% free throw shooter. Ben gets "hack-a" treatment at the end of games. Big difference.

DeAndre Jordan started at 38% climbed as high as 70% Simmons is at 60% so shooting can improve.

it's the horford-embiid-simmons combo that seems to have issues. simmons-embiid without horford has performed well. i'd see about trading horford for a wing if i was philly before a simmons desperation move. they were a bounce away from the ECF.

Simmons and CP3 to the Knicks with some quality vets and Jason Kidd as the coach. Might save the organization.

Wait....is the sixers' record 7-20? Don't let facts get in the way of a sensational story....

OP only cares about Simmons success, not Sixers success. He wants Simmons to be in a team where he looks as good as possible.

Sixers defense is elite.

Sixers offense is 3rd in assists(26.7), 3rd in fg %(47.7) and 5th in 3 pt %(37.0).

Yes the team that everyone says has no shooters and cant space the floor is 5th in 3pt %.
