2019-2020 College/Draft thread (Part 1)

this draft just doesn't look so hot to me.

After Anthony Edwards, there are just so many god damn question marks


1/ can Nico Mannion play at that frenetic pace and speed in the NBA? is there a coach whose going to let him freelance like he does now? His moves down the lane are extremely refined and makes him a very intriguing prospect. If he was in a PNR offense this kid could produce immediately.

2/ Wiseman. Is there a place anymore in the NBA for a athletic big guy whose neither an elite defender or can shoot threes? serious question

3/ Cole Anthony- we just drafted a young inefficient guard whose going to take 2-3 years to develop. For Cole, I don't see the wiggle, athleticism, or burst to be a starting PG. He really reminds me of Seth Curry. I don't think he's got the speed or size to be a PG for 30mpg in the NBA.

4/ Lamelo Ball- joke. that shot is a joke. Please stop rating this guy so highly. If it was 1995 I guess he could be drafted #1. But in today's era of secondary transition, threes, and fast pace offense this guy is not going to produce right away. he's gonna downright suck. Not even a top 10 pick in today's game. His body is wack. his shot is a joke. His shot is more wretched than Lonzo coming out and they have very similar skills in terms of vision and passing. I truly question the BBiq of anyone that's saying Lamelo is the #1 pick even in what's probably a weak draft.

4/ Lamelo Ball- joke. that shot is a joke. Please stop rating this guy so highly. If it was 1995 I guess he could be drafted #1. But in today's era of secondary transition, threes, and fast pace offense this guy is not going to produce right away. he's gonna downright suck. Not even a top 10 pick in today's game. I don't know man, Mike Schmitz (DraftExpress) is REALLY high on LaMelo. And DX guys are usually really spot on.

i like the class i dont feel its weak it just lacks true franchise changing players, i think the depth of the class is decent though. It feels like one of those drafts where the later talent could end up being more effective nba players than the touted top talent.

to the lamelo fans why not just trade down for hailburton who does alot of the same things as lamelo. He's not as flashy and not as popular but still an excellent floor general that is shooting a better percentage from 3 even though his jumper looks crazy + better defense.

Because his ceiling is as higher than anyone in this draft besides possibly edwards.
And with the draft and the way the lottery now a days is. It’s a gamble. And I want someone with a chance to be a top 20 player. Cause you’re not winning a championship with role players and or solid players. Which is what I think haliburton is

10 assists though. What Cole doing when he cant score? He has a combined 4 assists and 9 turnovers in the past 2 games. Nico got a combined 21 assists and just 5 turnovers.

The team is developing some chemistry and under Mike Miller we will gonna improve. We probably will get the best PG who falls into the 8-12 pick. The worst teams will decide who we will gonna pick among Nico, Cole, Melo, Haliburton and Hampton.
