too bad they're all injured

only zion

last night they had -> jrue, lonzo, ingram, favors, hart, reddick, plus their lotto picks and role players. that is not a 6 win team based on talent.

I swear Alvin Gentry is the GOAT tank coach. The guy just doesn't give a fk about winning.

If i had those young prospects and a borderline all star vet pg (who plays on both end), i would ask the coach to tank a bit and i would get the better picks/offer for my vet pg before the deadline.
I might be wrong, but it would be more than surprising if NO does not trade Holiday for useful picks for next draft(s).

It's more annoying to see Cleveland tanking, or the knicks, as they have been collecting lottery picks since forever it seems (to me). Knowing Atlanta should be back on track once Collins is back in the rotation.

Anyway, that does not mean Hornets should take some of the wins they have been offered. They are expected to be bad, no one sane will reproach hornets for tanking.

how many of those guys play defense

and don't say favors because he's been walking on -1 knees for the past 4 years

young teams typically don't play defense. especially not one with no center

So is it "they're all injured" or "they don't play defense"?

Jrue has made all defensive teams, Reddick has made a career at being a 3 n d guard.
Ball is a good defender as well. I'm not sure about Hart and Ingram.

i agree, too talented to suck that much.

ball can barely walk and reddick hasnt guarded anyone in years

and even if those wings could guard anyone outside of jrue, there's no big behind them that can move. they're fundamentally broken defensively - that's on the GM

How is it that the Celtics have played 24 games through December 17, and the Hornets have played 30? In fact, no other team in the NBA has played that many games.

Michael Jordan should protest this treatment of his franchise.

They mentioned that during one of the games. It's because we are going to have time off before and after the Paris game.

I'm not 100% sure Cleveland/Knicks are tanking. I think they are just bad. They both have more veteran players playing minutes than we do.

Kemba 0 points tonight with 7 turnovers. Giving him the max would've doomed this franchise.

Pretty asinine statement IMO. BOS clearly is doing ok with Kemba, and statistically he's performing right in line with his All Star performances for us.

Boston is vastly more talented than us and, point in case, was the fact they won easily with Kemba scoring 0 points. That would've never happened here. The reason his stats are in line with us last season is that he finally has the space to operate, but teams can still shut him down if they force others to beat them. I'll be amazed if he doesn't decline significantly by the end of his contract.

If Luka keeps up this level of play for a decade and gets a ring or three, he's in the GOAT running right?

I mean his numbers are insane:

29.0 points
9.5 rebounds
8.9 assists
1.2 steals

47.1/31.6/80.6 splits

20 years old

If he continues to improve his efficiency and stays healthy, he's going to put up some unheard of career numbers. His Age 20 season is better than what MJ and LeBron were doing at the same age

He seemed like such a no brainer draft pick, winning euro league as a teenager, how did Divac not pick him?

I'd go with Marvin dunk against Orlando.
