Re: Official 2020 NBA Draft Thread
I'll be shocked if Tyrese Haliburton continues to play this well and is there for us in the draft in the mid-1st round. His stock should rise.

I agree.
I think he's going to end up being a top 10 pick and I don't see the Magic, playoffs or not, being in the top 10.

This still blows my mind. Dog **** percentages, shoots with 2 hands, doesn't look like he plays defense (at least he crosses half court unlike their HS gimmick). I don't see it at all. It didn't seem like anyone else did until the DraftExpress guys now at ESPN started saying he could be the #1 pick all of a sudden.

Gimme best scorer at 16-20 idc wingspan. The draft is the only way this team will add offensive talent.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Odds are overwhelmingly likely there won't be a very good scorer available outside the lotto. Not saying they shouldn't be looking for that, but it's just hard to find in that range.
You go back to every draft this decade and look in the non-lottery range of the first round and there's been like 5 all-stars out of 150 guys picked 15-30. That's like 3%.

Then it’s up to the FO to either trade for one by deadline (unlikely) or trade up for one in draft. Staying put and swapping out g league end of bench dudes isn’t going to work.

Re: Official 2020 NBA Draft Thread
There are some interesting prospects this year. I think we lack offensive wing player, stronger than Fournier who could play alongside Isaac. Right now i am interested in:
Aj Lawson
Jordan Nwora
Tyler Bey
Aaron Nesmith
Josh Green
Other interesting prospects are dynamic guards Haliburton, Joel Ayayi and Tyrese Maxey. Isaac Okoro took Chuma Okeke role in Auburn, great kid and Weltman style pick. I dont like his shooting though.

My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Re: Official 2020 NBA Draft Thread
Even with Fultz having the season he is, I'd be surprised if we didn't take a guard with at least point guard capabilities. I think we'll probably try to bring DJ back, but they may want insurance on that just in case. Unless we fall off, it's hard to see guys like Haliburton or Hampton being there, but if they are I'd be really surprised if we didn't just on them. Maybe Maledon if he drops, but I don't know much about him at this point.

Mr. Achiuwa possesses a lot of physical characteristics that WeHam have admired: athleticism and length. He can guard 2 positions now and could evolve into a 4-position defender.
A player to watch.

Achiuwa's older brother, God'sgift Achiuwa, played college basketball for St. John's from 2011 to 2014. His mother, Eunice, and father, Donatus, are both Pentecostal ministers. In addition to God'sgift, he has two brothers, God'swill and Promise, and two sisters, Grace and Peace.

That's creepy.
