AD is way ahead of Lebron and Luca stomped on him personally. He missed the playoffs entirely last year. Mucho way Luca ahead of him

Last year he was a rookie, Luka that is. As for the latter, the honorable mr Davis purposely sabotaged his teams' season to force his way to LA, which as revealing as it might be for the fabric of his character, it also doesnt permit any objective evaluation of his level of play. This year, the Lakers have turned into a defensive powerhouse and that is all about Davis' presence, who also happens to lead them offensively. Again, molto way Luka and AD ahead of Lebron

we have to respect his insane talent and ability to turn every discussion into how good Kawhi looks.

Do you like pizza or pasta? it doesn't matter, Kawhi tastes better !

And LeBron had been injured at Christmas when the Lakers were in the fourth seed in the west and LBJ missed a month and he was not the same player when he returned...Last year is last year....

BTW, the lakers are 5th in offensive rating right now....This is not just the defense.

Giannis' Anthony Davis just put 9 points on 12 shots with clownish performance on the defensive side.

Giannis had 48 points on 18/31
The rest of the bucks had 68 points on 26/74.

I'm sure it hurt him a lot in the MVP battle.

Giannis needs to do a better job when it comes to involving his teammates

5A/4TOs won't cut it

The problem is that in his low minutes on the floor he is trying to jackup as many shots as possible in a vain attempt to break the banal metric stats like PER

One thing I don't understand via why Giannis doesn't log high minutes in some games. Shouldn't he log like 40 or 42 minutes in games that are close? I mean 34 minutes was too less yesterday.
:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

This is not a slight on Giannis, but a genuine doubt. Is it something that Bud does intentionally??

Kinda like how Giannis travels a few times each game?

More kinda like Lowry flops on every possession.

Oh I completely agree that Lowry flops and complains after almost every call. I hate it lmao.
Nice try trying to zing me one though lol.

Giannis still pales in dominance when compared to peak Shaq.

Lol, puts up 48/13/4 on 63% TS and the Bucks lose for the first time in over a month. And now Lebron is all of a sudden "right there with him". Still shattering the PER record, +12 BPM and +.310 WS/48 but oh man, they're now a disappointing 24-4 instead of a dominant 25-3.

I don't like the overreactions over any one game. First off it's human nature that MIL would let their guard down
a) because they have won like 18 games in a row
b) they saw that Luka was out and assumed it would be easy

The broader issue for the Mavs will be their schedule is rough, they have frickin ridiculous schedule coming up where they face BOS, PHI, TOR, and the LAL before Doncic is likely back. Teams have that initial game or two playing above their heads when a star goes out and then reality hits, Donicic could fall out of the race just because the Mavs pile up too many losses.

In regard to Giannis’ minutes, he is playing one less minute a game than last year but he’s also shooting 3 more field goals and 1.5 more free throws per game despite the loss of that minute. His usage rate is sky high so I don’t think he’s being screwed here by less minutes.

Bud also put him on short rotations as well. Rarely do you see Giannis play an entire quarter even if he plays longer minutes in a game. I used to see him play like 6-7 minutes then goes to the bench then after a shortwhile he is on again. Just to keep him fresh I guess, or to maximize his efficiency due to how hard and physical he plays.

Did you watch the game? He created tons of opportunities that teammates were bricking which led to him just trying to take over himself. He had 14 potential assists with guys whiffing wide open 3s and another with Lopez bumbling an open layup.

Could he have tried to facilitate more? Possibly, but I doubt it results in better offense given how efficiently he scored and how poorly the perimeter guys were shooting. Defense was a bigger issue than offense anyway for the Bucks last night.

Lol, we just saw Luka's squad play GREAT without him against the best team in the league, and another top 6 team...

He has an AMAZING supporting cast.

This Loss hurts Lebron today. No AD, and win streak comes to an end. 50% fts, 5 turnovers.

Imagine Giannis had AD....
