That's a good idea. I'd say though if the team ends up top four then that's when they get an additional draft pick (just cause otherwise I could see a top level team just sitting down players if they dont care about seeding)

Every player on the winning team gets a million dollars. Plus the team gets a sandwich pick.

I don't know. The incentive stuff is not hard to work out. The justification for the tournament's existence in the first place is what I mostly don't like. Might be more interesting if there were some non-NBA teams in the mix also. I don't have any interest in humiliating the NCAA champs but there might be a Euroleague team or two thirsty for a crack at such a tournament, and lo and behold the league would need two more teams for a proper bracket.

Giannis and Khris could give the lower earning guys on the team each a million bucks to go on a nice, relaxing vacation for a couple weeks.

Yep. And frankly I could care less that each player on the winning team is now going to get $1mm apiece. Unless they send me a cut of that, I have no interest in a stupid tournament like this.

It all just seems so unnecessary. I still don’t get the point.

NBA trying really hard to not fix the actual problem. Sigh.

I'm going to watch the games the Bucks play in, just as I'd watch their regular season games.

But I just don't see the point. The "8th seed banner" at the Bradley Center had more significance than this.

I think an in season tournament could be fun if done right. The die hard fans will probably still watch but the casuals still wont care about it and it doesn't fix the season being too long.

HATE this idea. One thing I've read as a possibility is giving the winner an extra draft pick. Regardless I HATE it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Not feeling it, I kind of like the idea of just a straight single elimination tournament like the NBA's own mini march madness but this just sounds tedious and pointless.

Give the winners of the tourney that many extra wins on their season total. That'd make it worth watching.

Watching the Philly/Mavs game, during a break they had cameras zooming around and showing people Mavs shirts (Philly home game). They cut to one guy who was sitting a bit awkwardly, then as he slowly straightened around you saw it was actually a Ted Bundy t-shirt. Quick cut away to pointing at an empty chair.

Embiid just took a charge on Porzingis and you know that just isn't basketball or safe at all.

Giving millionaires an extra million? DUMB. At least donate it to the players favorite charity or something like that. Either way I won't give two craps about it.

This tournament idea is so unbelievably stupid.
