Just like the GS loss, someone cashed in on Memphis being favorites to win. Watch the last half of the 4th from the point Henson rakes Jonas arms on b2b possessions, for so called strips. On the ensuing play, he flushes the ball while still in the cylinder, which is not unsurprisingly, allowed. On the other end of the whistle, Love bowls over Jaren & heads to the FT line, called push on the back, lol. Watch the last half of the 4th good. Those officials swung this game with Memphis up 7.
Bad for those like me who want true competition, good for the tank. It's infuriating to watch the Cavs players dance, with the refs wiping their asses.
23 Cavs FT's to Memphis 7. That's right, 7 FT's for the game, most in the first half. Cavs good defense entailed them being allowed to foul, just like the GS loss, where Memphis losing record was also favored to win.

But that Ja almost-dunk
Yeah this was a tough loss. Crowder's light is a little too green sometimes. Clarkson also killed us.

Would have been the best in game dunk since Vince, maybe even more impressive, considering Morant's size.
While you're right that Clarkson went off, he wasn't the reason Cavs were able to swing a late Memphis lead. Those 2 Henson fouls in the post on Jonas & the cylinder no call is a 12 pt swing in 3 possessions. Love Barreling over Jackson getting to the FT line, the late strip on Morant with the same cross arm foul Henson committed etc.... the whistle was put away for the Cavs, while Memphis couldn't breath on them.
The #1 post scoring team in the league Memphis = 7.... Total FT's.... 1 being a tech, to the more perimeter oriented Cavs 23... lol
Memphis got to the FT line 3 times all game. They're a tanking team so none will mention the refs involvement in the loss, except me. Like the GS loss, Cavs didn't win this one on their own.

Ja may not have made the dunk. However, he has made himself known to the world of basketball now. His capabilities are astounding beyond belief.
