Right now KP looks like a taller Andrea Bargnani is his Player Comparison.

His ON/OFF numbers are better than Luka's since that low point.

Offense is 9 points better per 100. Defense is 2.2 points better.

Mister Ze wrote: How about KP's ability to stretch the floor?

As I see another made up thing, no one has been saying that KP is some offensive force. People talk about his defensive impact.

But you do make a strong point, especially as it pertains to "gravity". Defenders react to him. He is faking out defenders now all the time and driving to the basket, you can see here viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1859976&start=380#p80433351

The Mavs are making him jack up 3s. And defenses react to it. Then you have Luka/Powell murdering teams.

Last night, I noticed this play, look at where the sixers defender are

Then he drives

Also, this was of note --- big onions, this was a key moment to win the game (against a 18 win streak team)

Basketball isn't played 2v2 and that lineup only has like an 90 minute sample size which you decided not to include. Butler and the rookie Chris Silva have a net rating of +27.4 and they've been on the court together for 74 minutes. We don't even know who Porzingis and Seth Curry were playing against during those minutes. For all we know, they were playing well against some lottery team's bench and that would've greatly inflated the numbers.

Where do you rank Porzingis among top players in the NBA(1 being the best)? Where do you rank him as a defender?

I agree that he is more potential than production. He is role player, but built up like a star already. He takes Kobe'esque shots that he has no business of taking, thats why his TS% is so a**

Looks better than expected for a 7”3 guy coming off that type of injury. KP is fine as a 3rd option guy like a Chris Bosh but Luka will need a true 2nd option for Dallas to make a real title run in the future

Not really, one can be right and the other 20 people be wrong, what matters in an opinion is quality, not quantity.

The Mavericks are an average defensive team...He might be a great rim protector but he doesn't do much else defensively.

harden is a great bucket getter but he doesnt do much else offensively

did you just compare a guy averaging ten rebounds and 2.5 blocks to one of the worst defensive players of all time?

He averages 7.5 assists a game and provides lots of spacing for the Rockets .

No because it has no substance or merit. Where on this board is KP getting overrated? Can you point to threads/posts? Overrated exactly how? Who made statements that KP is carrying this team? What is more TS% says nothing about how good a player is. Just how efficient but that is far from being the be all end all stat. So far all your posts were nothing but narrative driven nonsense.
If you're asking me who the Mavs best player is, I'd say Luka. A guy like Delon Wright probably rivals his impact though at this stage in his career. KP may as well if he gets his **** together.

Harden could average at least 15 APG if he wanted, just shows you how dumb D'Antoni offense really is. Well actually there is no offense, it's just 20 seconds of Harden dribbles and let's see where it goes.

KP provides inside presence, something Mavs were dying to have since probably Tyson Chandler. KP proved that a lot of us were right on how overrated and useless DAJ really was last season. KP is not only blocking shots but makes opponents think twice when they attack the rim. If he didn't space the floor, PnR with Luka and Powell wouldn't be nearly as effective as it is.

If i ask you how many Mavs games you actually watched and you say 15 or less, this is not a discussion anymore. KP is turning out exactly what we hoped him to be and i think he is still only at 50% of his strength. Coming back from a long injury will take him probably a full year and another off season before we can truly evaluate how good he really is.

He saw his TS and thought KP is garbage. He didn't watch any of the Mavs game. Just like your typical realgm user who only look at advanced stats and never watches any basketball games
