Anyone got Carsen Edwards 2020 Summer League MVP odds?

Re: Welcome Matisse Thybulle!
The Celtics took the 2019 #20 and #22 picks and turned them into Carsen Edwards, Grant Williams, a 2020 #30 pick and an Aaron Baynes salary dump. LOL.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

And Langford with 14. Not Danny's best work.

The whole concept of trading back from the #20 pick in any NBA draft is faulty. But who they picked sealed it for me. You don't trade back that late in the 1st round, to get an additional 2nd round pick in the same draft. Especially when you already had three (3) 1st round picks. This isn't the NFL draft. Made absolutely no sense, unless they actually believed Grant Williams was the best talent on the board at #20 (which is unbelievable to me)
It's hard to see where Matisse Thybulle would fit on Boston, so maybe they didn't like the fit. But Boston would be much better off with Thybulle, Baynes (and whoever else they could have picked at #22) than what they acquired.

Thybulle averaging 3.1 steals and 1.5 blocks per-36. He’s second in the NBA in steal rate?!!? He’s also near the top of the leaderboard in deflections per-36. In addition to this, Thybulle is hitting 46.3 percent of the 54 three-pointers he’s attempted. That puts him No. 6 in the league in three-point percentage. I have a new hero....

This sequence is blowing me away. Clamps JB up and down the court for like 15 straight seconds, sticks to him like glue around the screen and then switches onto Kanter seamlessly and engages the boxout, and then like simultaneously with the pass going to JB he darts back to him and draws the charge.
A generational defensive player. His instincts are feel for the game are special

As he gets more refined in his defensive technique, he's going to be brutal to go up against. His speed is truly remarkable.

You don't need a closer as badly when you can shut down the other team's closer.

PHI @ BKN if JHarris starts getting hot from outside I’d love to see Thybulle shut him down... hard...

Re: Welcome Matisse Thybulle!
Damn, I was hoping he was turning the corner after the Raptors and Nuggets game.
Right back to being a production zero in the next three games:
- 6 points in 30 minutes against Celtics
- 3 points in 27 minutes against Pelicans
- 0 points in 19 minutes against Nets
Maybe Brett should run a couple plays for him with some offball action just to get him going.

Yeah but his game right now is not all about scoring the ball... amazing on D. Curious what his ceiling is in terms of developing offensively & play making?

Re: Welcome Matisse Thybulle!
Still have to be a productive point producer when you're on the court. Can't create scenarios where your team is 4-on-5 on offense because of you.
I actually think his jumpshot projection is pretty optimistic. I don't think much of his on-ball skills, though. Never scored more than 11.2 ppg in a single college season and he was there for four years.

It's a quarter of the way through his first season he's going to get better. I honestly think he will become more consistent in scoring points and finding his fit as the NBA season goes on. And remember we're talking about a guy who wasn't even a lottery pick. So he's doing quite well as far as I'm concerned with plenty of room for growth.

Wonder if this means we see Zhaire or just extended minutes for Korkmaz.
