Sabonis is having a rock solid season for them so far. From my point of view (admittedly narrow), he's probably getting talked about the least, even though he's deserving of some hub bub.

Whenever I watch Indy games (which isn't often but including highlights and such) Sabonis is often talked about as one of the sleeper all-stars this year. And one of the reasons is that he's carrying Indy along with Brogdon to playoffs in the absence of their best player Oladipo. Their numbers are almost a wash, so hope it won't come down to narratives, which aren't really in Bam's favor.

In hindsight it’s pretty crazy that OKC has had such a plethora of talent and all of that has culminated into Chris Paul.

Would be interesting if they could run the roster/cap management thing again and keep Harden instead of Westbrook. Maybe KD doesn't go to the 73 win Warriors.

KD and Harden (+healthy Ibaka+whatever they could have got to shore up their roster for Westbrook) would have won a couple of chips imo. Scary thought considering they could have taken a chip or two away from us in the process.

Thank you James.

How could they have taken 1 or 2 away from us when we won both titles during the Lebron era when Harden was still on the Thunder?

Didn't they lose Harden right after 2012? I'm talking about purely hypothetical of them getting rid of Westbrook to keep Harden after 2012 Final's loss.

I don't care much about the accolades anymore personally. If he makes it fine. If not, I hope its a positive motivator which makes him even better. What I do appreciate is this amazing ball movement, shooting, and passing display we see from all our guys most nights. So much fun to watch. I look forward to tuning in more so than any season since Wade, Odom, Caron, BG, etc. Bam's role in that is pretty demanding too. His rebounding. His handoffs from 18 feet. His ridiculous ability to cover anyone. I hope his growth is replicated by our other young guys.

Pretty wack. They couldn't see this cheat code Harden at that point yet, but most sensible basketball minds saw that he was clearly less disruptive than Westbrook with massive offensive potential. I dunno, I think our chip in 2013 would have been fine either way now that I really think about it. We lost in 2014 anyways. frikkin Spurs smh

Sounds like 2014 Spurs DoM :x

But yeah, we'll not get much individual accolades, but everyone is playing for team success, which is great to see.

Shoot. I'd take that. That Spurs team was tough. Would be a helluva story to hold a trophy one season after the basketball world had written us off;)

Yes.

I approve Mavs historic loss on any day, twice on Sunday. Good job.

I need to have Jay update his sig, please send my regards if you see him. Your team is something else.

Am I wrong that James Harden has had the most All-Star sidekicks and failed. His most success he had was having a role player as a sidekick, Trevor Ariza.

I mean how many all star sidekicks has he had? CP3 and Westbrook? I wouldn't really consider post back surgery Dwight an all star level player.

As far as those two, Harden's most success definitely came in 2018 when they took the Durrant Warriors to 7.

Dwight average 18 pts and 12 rbs his first year in Houston. That's still all-star level play.

Trying to get Steven Adams for nothing? Adams isn't exactly a new age center and has a decent contract, but this sounds pretty pie in the sky for Atlanta. I'd expect Presti would at least want a first round pick, no matter the year.

Not quite nothing, he's very expensive for this year and next and probably not the type of center they want to move forward with (more mobile shot-blocking centers), with this youth movement they look to be going to. They like Noel and they signed Patton who is an interesting center prospect who has no true strength but can do a little bit of everything in a 7 footer's body. He was a guard most of his life until a growth spurt in high school. Patton would have been a nice gamble(and it would be a gamble) for Miami.
