You think? I don’t even know if he’s practicing yet, we haven’t gotten any updates.

The Heat still listing his injury as a back strain that has caused Winny to miss 8 straight games. Unless it's worse than a strain, I'm "hoping" he can return by Friday or Saturday with another week of rest. I've had many back strains in my day. I'm old, but even when I was in my 30's I could get over a back strain in a couple weeks. This dude is 23. Something is fishy.

Local morning show had Ira on a while back and he said Winslow is one of those dudes who thinks he needs to be 100% to contribute.....very Kawhi Leonardish.

I’m never going to be the guy who says suck it up and play when I don’t know the situation or what a player feels, but I gotta say I’ve seen Bam take some hits and play nicked up....Jimmy too to an extent. Just not the greatest look if you’re Justise.....no player is 100%, if you’re healthy enough to contribute you should be out there.

Winnie prolly learned from season 2 and his senor Myrie that it'd be better to sit a few games instead of risking a season on reccuring injuries.

Players play through things all the time, and on the off chance that he doesn't get through it as the same player on the other side-- fans will just change the channel. Good for him; they don't love u like that

Winslow reminds me of a spoiled child. As proud parents, we keep on waiting for that child to start behaving good and get his grades up, everyone gets so happy when it happens for a short period of time and then the child goes back to being who he is and the never ending hope and suffering continues until the kid is 40 and is still living with Mom and Dad. By then it's too late to dump him and no woman or man wants to marry that thing. Winslow trade value continues to shrink and we continue to hope.

If Winslow is traded, he’s going to be one of those Heat players that we find will do better in another system (if he stays healthy). The guy has had his role change so many times on this team and it looks like to me it throws him off. He said he sees himself as a pg, but Spo continues to throw him at PF cuz he has no where else to put him.

Winnie just needs a fresh start at this point. I’m not saying the guy will be a starter, but he could be a serviceable backup pg like Livingston.

Thought this was a really cool. stat from NBA.COM:
"There are nine teams that have gotten more then 30% of their minutes from rookies or second-year players, and eight of the nine (as you would expect from young teams) are at least seven games under .500. The ninth - the team that ranks fourth with 39% of their minutes having come from first or second-year guys - is the 21-8 Heat, who got a game-high 26 points from Kendrick Nunn as they handed the Sixers their first loss at home on Wednesday. Nunn (16.4) and Tyler Herro (13.9) rank second and sixth in rookie scoring, back-up big man Chris Silva leads rookies (by a wide margin) in rebounding percentage, and second-year wing Duncan Robinson ranks fourth in 3-point percentage (45.0%) among players with at least five attempts per game. Amazingly, only one of those four guys was selected in the Draft. The Heat are 20-4 with rest and just 1-4 in the second game of back-to-backs, and they have a tough and important back-to-back this weekend, though the game on Saturday is also the second game of a back-to-back for the Sixers (who will be in Orlando on Friday)."

This is a really telling stat. If we can keep together this core of players, and let them grow into themselves, we could be an elite team that keeps getting better for years to come. I feel even better about this team long term than I did about the big three team because I always knew that it wasn't going to last like a dynasty. I think this team could be a dynasty even with an aging Jimmy Butler, because I know if our players develop as they should, it will be an extremely attractive destination for free agents, knowing we have one of the youngest teams in the league and are already a top team. That is huge.

Any back injuries should be taken seriously; too many greats were either debilitated long-term and/or career's cut short due to back injuries. If Winslow feels that he has to Kawhi this particular injury (ironically, I felt that the Heat played it EXTRA safe w/ Winslow's concussion), then I don't blame him. We are still playing well without him and when he comes back he brings our ceiling even higher. Be patient.

Back strain aint nothing to play with. I have strained my back a couple times at work, going through it now again, trying to come back early or work through it is just a no. I thought I was better after 2 week rest, went back and first heavy patient I got I reaggravated the strain and I’m back on the sidelines again for rushing it. I say a good month and an extra couple weeks should be enough. Especially with the type of treatments these players receive.

I’m not a Winslow fan, I expect him traded this season, but this isn’t something to get on him about.
