He plays defense, though.

Screams KO to me. Give me McDaniels and his upside

Screams Kevin Knox to me.

This draft is so bad. I hope the pick doesn’t convey.

Exceptionally skinny. Brutal at the rim [48.1%]. Forces too many mid range jumpers because he cant get to/finish at the rim. Poor creator with a negative A/TO ratio.

He’s also averaging nearly 3 assists per game despite the turnovers and he’s 100x the athlete Knox is. Knox is a one trick pony who plays no defense and has a questionable motor.

Lol Knox is an excellent athlete, what are you talking about? And McDaniels has that exact same questionable motor.

I disagree with your assessment of Knox athleticism. He’s far from excellent and that’s what’s killing him the most at the NBA level. McDaniels settles too often but it’s not because he can’t get there. Shot selection will come, may take a few years like it has for Tatum but it will come

Whats killing Knox is that he’s atrocious at finishing at the rim and takes too many mid range jumpers accordingly. Unless youre an elite shooter, this just isnt conducive to positive basketball in today's game. I see the same flaws in McDaniels.

The scary part was that Knox was 67% at the rim in college— McDaniels figure is a giant red flag.

Knox is a fine prospect he is just doomed because of the team that drafted him.

By the way like I said before, Memphis pick coming to Boston this year

I've pretty much stopped prospect scouting after the Fultz saga. I have no clue who's gonna do what in the nba, but maaan... if we end up with the pick, I would not hate Obi Toppin. This kid has incredible length, 6'9" PF who plays like a wing. He looks like he'd fit seamlessly in this offense.

1 Atlanta 1, 18
2 New Orleans 4, 33, 36, 60
3 Boston 9, 28, 30, 48
4 New York 3, 43

Would rather have that a year later. The Celtics will instead draft Aleksej Pokusevski and Onyeka Okongwu and nobody will be able to say their names.

I go for quality over quantity in the draft. Would rather have 3 and 43 or even just the 2 than 9 and a small crowd.

Crazy race so far. Not much separation from 5th to 16th. Knicks won 4 of last 8. Cavs and Warriors won last 3 each. Grizzlies won 6 of last 10. Suns and Wolves are spiraling after starting off somewhat fine.

Too early to monitor standings? :P

If we keep the picks then draft all bigs. One of them had to pan out

Don't look now, but if Memphis beats Charlotte, they will move in to the 13th worst record in the league. I know its still early in the season, but they need to start dropping some games or they will be out of the lottery.

Memphis beat the Clippers in LA. 13th worst record in the NBA at 14-22.

It's still early. Just like there's a big cluster of teams near the top of the standings, there's a big cluster or two near the bottom as well. And who knows what will happen with injuries, rookie walls, and so on.

That said -- just like last year with Sacramento, we have the disadvantage that Memphis has no incentive for tanking.

While that generally makes sense, note that we have six or so guys who've played center for us this season (I'm counting Grant but not any of our "five best" guys), including two project centers and two other rookies.

Draft the next Giannis or Kawhi with the mid-1st round pick. Then fire Danny if we draft the next James Young instead. No problem.

Of course PG13 and Beverly don't play, and the griz shoot 46% from 3 on near 40 attempts. And clippers start a guy I never even heard of before and shot 23% from 3.
