Putting Dante Exum into perspective

I've been generous with my hot takes lately - here's one more. By the end of the season Jazz fans will be almost unanimous Dante deserves his contract.

A broken clock is technically correct twice a day, but the odds are not in favor. Dante is a long shot, and therefore expendable if the right deal comes along.

Yeah. Dante's return didn't go as planned and it seems like the Jazz finally gave up on him, or at the very least DL decided Quin is never going to trust Dante enough to make it worth it.

You win some, you lose some... that one goes as an L on me both for the prediction and for my long-term support for Dante. There is no other way to view the pick and then the contract than as a colossal bust.

I would just say you missed the jazz trying to get after it and win during this conley/bojan window. Short term moves were made. The warriors window broke open. To think some oft injured prospect who hasnt been able to figure it out would or could not be moved just seemed off to me. It goes against what we see when nba teams are trying to contend.
