Clarkson sucks though. Utah is just desperate with Conley showing early signs of Batumitis

He was worth about what I figured. I wouldn't have made the trade unless he gave us some type of confirmation that he'd consider resigning here. Could still be a free agent consideration.

52% True shooting isn't that great and he's Zeller size so can't play against a lot of dudes. I'd have no interest in giving up any value for him.

There's a good chance NYK declines the team option. He didn't break out this season. So basically if Kupchak wants him he can sign him for money alone and less than his current deal. I actually like his size because he can play PF/C. We're losing Marvin and we're very thin in young bigs. Case in point is Batum getting PT while PJ is out.

How about Rozier and MKG/Marvin for Wiggins, Napier, and a top 8 protected 1st?

If the Hornets can get a high ceiling prospect in next draft, i wonder what kind of contract they could propose to N. Noel. He could fit really well here among a young core (he's 26 yo), even though he is not a long term piece (kinda like Rozier).
That might mean a little overpay for the Hornets to get him (40/3 maybe?) but i would feel better with him than WCS.

We definitely need an impact center. Really need a big dose of luck to hit on one of the quality bigs available in this upcoming draft.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

MKG for Dewayne Dedmon and a 2nd round pick.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I don't really understand this trade and It's being broadcasted on a few websites we should trade for Dedmon. My issue isn't getting Dedmon, but rather where does he fit? That would give us 4 centers, and he'd be battling for minutes with Zeller and Biyombo. I don't see him as a huge long-term fit as he's on the wrong side of 30, and he hasn't exactly played well this season. Of Zeller and Biyombo, I like Biyombo better, and Dedmon isn't that much of an upgrade to Zeller (you could argue he isn't). If we were a contending team in the playoff hunt I could see it being done for match-ups, but we aren't and this doesn't move the needle.

I liked Dedmon last year and we've seen what he can do in a SAS system both in San Antonio itself and in Atlanta. He can rebound, and has been shooting threes at a good clip for 2 years now. Dedmon is a clear upgrade to Cody when it comes to shooting & spacing and is bigger than either guy. His contract is three years, but that final year isn't fully guaranteed, so if he doesn't work out he clears the books the same time Nic will.

For me this was the kind of small deal the team could do to get assets - I suggested a second round pick for taking on the extra year while at the same time helping our existing guy's development. Having a perimeter playing center who can shoot potential opens up driving lanes for guys like Miles & PJ and gives Devonte someone else to pass to. I'm not suggesting the Dedmon is a long term answer.

I was on the dedmon wagon earlier this year till I realised how old he was.
I’d swap him for mkg but we would probably need a pf for depth
