Maybe he was just trying to test their integrity.

I'm thinking Uncle Dennis was trying to re-insert himself into the process. Kawhi has an agent. According to players union rules, Uncle Dennis is not allowed to participate because he's not an accredited agent.

Is there any evidence Kawhi knew about any of this?

I don't think kawhi gives a ****. This is a hit piece. Nothing more. Don't let the Lakers tell you how to practice business in good faith when the Lakers were fined because Rob pelinka was speaking to Paul George's agent prior to his free agency.

Every team tampers and every high profile athlete has perks and requests. Some are just asked for the hell of it. Some of its under the table. And some of it are not honored at all.

It reads as the Lakers are salty because kawhi stood them up.

Masai who was upset with Uncle Dennis never said anything. Reports coming from the rumor mill said he was asking for "bizarre things" and left it at that. The raptors felt they got used for leverage but saw it coming.

The Lakers got used for leverage and never saw it coming and missed out on quality free agents. The Lakers played themselves and now they want the media to paint them as the good guys.

Pretty pathetic.

Also....who leaked the story?

Kawhi? Nope.
Uncle Dennis? Doubtful.
Clippers Org? Doubtful.

Hmmmmm.....Who has reason to leak this kind of story and take a dump on Kawhi and his uncle?
I couldn't think of anybody else or any other team with incentive to do this....like at all.
