Kinda seems like overkill to me. I understand the need for some more lefty bats though.

Isn't he switch hitter? and Lindor is top 5 in the game right now and only 26. On his way to the HOF if he can continue playing like this for years to come. Imagine an infield of Lindor and Torres for a decade plus![]()

Yeah he’s a switch but he would mostly hit left and you hear a few rumors about Yankees trying to get some more lefty bats in the lineup.

I'd forget about Hader if it means losing Andujar, if they'll take Gio I'd do it, but they won't.
What I'd do is give Jordan Montgomery the 5th starters job, and have Domingo German be a more effective Betances. I think German can be dominant there and Betances' inability to hold baserunners was a big issue for me.
If Montgomery is back to form, he's a quality starter and another lefty in the rotation.
Forget Hader.
German won 18 games as a starter, why would we use him to be a reliever? He's proved he can pitch 5 plus innings consistently, Betances can't do that.

Betances is a nightmare with men on base. So...yeah...our bullpen is fine...yours...not sure. Who you got?![]()
Mets need to worry about the Mets. The Yankees are fine.

Hey, I'm just the messenger. "Zips" and Fangraphs are the experts. Every really depends, like with every team, on who stays healthy, who has up years and who has down years. So, people are expecting/hoping that Diaz and Familiar have bounce back years, and there is reason optimism there; that Wilson and Lugo continue to do what they did last season. Then there's Betances, Gsellman, and Brad Brach. I suspect that either JD Davis, Cespedes and/or Dominic Smith will be moved for another good quality reliever since there's a glut in the OF.
Diaz
Betances
Wilson
Lugo
Familia
Brach
Gsellman
another quality arm? LOOGY?
Hey, that's not bad at all especially if Betances comes back healthy.

Betances has to learn to hold runmers. He's a nightmare with men on base in a close game. He does have a lightning arm though.
I'm just tawkin shyt to ya man. The Mets should be better this year but...they're the Mets.
