By the way, the only other Celtic I can think of who would have done that kind of thing is Leon Powe. I hope Grant gets to have a much longer career than Leon's.

Apparently, Grant is known for never shutting up.

These are still small samples...

Celtics ORtg, DRtg, NetRtg when
■ Grant Williams at PF: 119.8 (98th %ile), 104.4 (81st %ile), +15.4 (99th %ile)
■ Grant Williams at C: 98.3 (3rd %ile), 94.1 (99th %ile), +4.2 (68th %ile)

Grant has spent about twice as much time at PF as at C. His pairing with Kanter has been particularly beneficial for the Cs.

At 21, any chance that Grant might grow any taller? Give that kid another 3 inches, and he is our future all-star center.

Great read. Really rooting hard for him to play consistent minutes.

Very good conditional player has a major flaw his size 6 foot 5 playing center. A player similar to Yabusele but has quickness, speed, rebounds well and agility to overcome the lack of size.

He won't grow taller but he could learn to hit the 3 ball and become a good 3/4 guy, IMHO. That is his best path to NBA success - hence the gazillion 3s he missed to start the season.. He knows what is up..

Four factors rankings when Grant/Enes are on the floor together, 164 possessions so far:
• Net rating - 100th percentile
• Offensive rating - 100th percentile
• Defensive rating - 99th percentile
• Effective FG% - 97th percentile
• Opponent eFG% - 99th percentile
• Turnover rate - 98th percentile
• Offensive rebounding % - 100th percentile
• Defensive rebounding % - 99th percentile

We may have something here. These are against opposing bench units obviously. Grant's ability to switch on guards/wings is key so Kanter can mostly drop and guard the paint. On offense, you just need at least one creator and a couple of outside threats to space the floor. Both bigs are good screeners and can box out/rebound without the help of our wings. This is not to take away credit from Kanter, but Stevens may have found a way to maximize his strengths and hide his weaknesses in the 20 or so minutes that he is on the floor, at least in the regular season.

Nope. He is who he is when it comes to height/length.

Wow, thanks for sharing. Seems like a great guy. I’m lost on the David Foster Wallace reference though. And I’ve read Infinite Jest (but haven’t seen the biopic).

I heard Kyrie no longer wanted to be a Celtic for life after Ainge wouldn’t include a clause in the new contract stating Celtic employees were barred from looking him in the eye.
