Third best Def Rating of the Sixers, and best NETrating :

History suggests that it is an anomaly.

Plus his injury history is a bit worrisome.

Don't use defensive ratings please. Just watch the tape. Burke is not a good defender or even close. Teams with tremendous defenders and rim protectors always skew players around them numbers.

Right, but it's different when you have 4 guys with better def rating and one who benefits of that, and when this one has the best number. It doesn't mean he's the best defensive player at all, it only suggests that he's not killing the defense.
And the fact that we are in search of the perfect PG backup we would need to become a contender... that's why I think that if PHI want to trade him, we could take a look, because it wouldn't cost a lot, and at this point, unless we make two trades for great players helping us for several years, we can try some things that cost almost nothing

So all we need to do is surround Trae with tremendous defenders and rim protectors?

Sweet!!!

(Why did we turn down Jaxson Hayes, Goga Bitadze and Brandon Clarke in last year's draft again?)

I wanted Goga, but our guy's a better defender than the ones you mentioned so I'm not sure what your point is.

Cam and Hunter have tremendous potential as defenders and they are wings which is harder to find on the open market.

We need impactful vets

Trade board continues to be a rich source of wonderful Hawk trades.

Hield for Reddish and our 2020 first.
Ibaka for the Brooklyn first (this one is a mess. Basically we give the first to Memphis for Iggy who is routed to Dallas for 2 mid to late 2and which our routed to Toronto for Ibaka.. all to help facilitate the Hield deal due to the contract.

The trade board is awful which is normal.

We aren't trading any of these 5 players as we are a rebuilding team who value the development of our young assets.

Cam
Trae
John
Kev
And Hunter

Bruno isn't likely to be traded either.

Our organization actually likes our young kids.

I really like the trade board but you have to ignore the rabble at times.

I also am not really a fan of Hield for Atlanta since he isn't exactly the defensive pairing Trae likely needs. I think Joe Harris, though also not a defensive stud, could maybe be had this offseason if you pay him enough and he'd be a similar or slightly better fit plus you don't give up an asset to get him. Anthony Edwards in the draft may also be an option if your FO prefers him over Wiseman or if Wiseman is already off the board. Then use the BKN pick on a young center and pay a vet to teach him or just go after Drummond.

There seems to be interest from Minny in KAT trade with us.

We could offer multiple 1st rounders and John Collins during the draft.

Considering our cap situation, we can offer a quality package for KAT.

Considering its KAT, I want to keep Reddish, Huerter and Hunter as we need those wings for the long term and invested a lot into them.

Collins is expendable for KAT and of course our treasure chest of quality draft assets become expendable as well. You collect assets for this reason alone. To get a star if they become available.

Everywhere at this point. I even heard my guys mention he could be available during the draft.

Atlanta has a lot to offer. Even the possibly of taking on a bad contract.

John Collins is basically our star to offer.
I know him and Trae are like PB&J but to get something great, you gotta give it.

After that it's about our picks. We are positioned well. We got two top 20 picks. Currently the #1 pick. We got cap room for trade flexibility. We are positioned well.

But we need to make sure we keep the wings and Trae at all cost. Those guys aren't replaceable for us. We paid a tremendous price for them. Especially Cam and Hunter. Those two are needed with considering Trae and KAT defensive miscues.

I know about the rumors, I'm specifically asking about Minny's interest in trading with the Hawks.
Most teams would be interested, that's a given.

Trae, Kev, Hunter, ____, KAT. Cam at 6. Realistically who would we want to start at 4?

Prepare for the Drummond offers.

A 2k youtuber I watch said Reddish, Parker, Len, and a future first. The comments were even more hilarious. Reddish+FRP+hunter or huerter, multiple firsts, ect.

Keep calm yall.

Davis Bertans

In addition to the Sixers, Hawks and
Lakers, the Celtics and Nuggets have emerged as suitors for Bertans’ services, NBC Sports Washington has learned. Bertans, 27, has enjoyed a breakout season, averaging 15.4 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 43.4 percent from three on 8.6 attempts per game

And the offense of WAS is scoring 10 more points with him than without him on 100 poss. while the defense improves by 3pts...
Hard to see why WAS would trade him, but if they want to... let's go

Return to Atlanta Hawks
