I don't think I've ever seen Laker fans more afraid of an opposing player than they are with Kawhi right now. The closest thing was probably LeBron in his prime, back when they were delusional enough to view him as a "rival" for Kobe. Even then, prime LeBron was never on a team that was directly competing with the Lakers, so it wasn't the same dynamic.

Laker fans seem desperate to convince themselves and everyone else that Kawhi is either "washed up" or "overrated." Meanwhile, they were just begging for him last offseason.
Yeah, I've been on Twitter and just browsing what they say is hilarious stuff to me. There's someone who keeps trying to assert the fact that the Lakers bench is as good as the clippers based on raw numbers. **** completely leaves out the fact that they LeBron and AD stagger mins while clippers don't really do that.

Then there's Nick wright who said kawhi belonged in the same category as Spencer dinwiddie for MVP conversation.

Rent free. I've never seen a fan base so worried. Thank God, Laker fans on realgm are more respectful. On other platforms Laker fans routinely raid game threads and twitter feeds of clipper reporters

Bron and AD are playing heavy minutes
the rest of the team are retreads

I keep thinking of when the Clippers tore off that 17-game December win streak with Odom and Turiaf and that bunch

and it amounted to nothing

Now LeBron is throwing shade at kawhi.

Tbf, it sounded worse in print then when he actually says it but I refuse to believe LeBron James is not smart enough to know when a reporter is baiting him for a headline.

Man, I really hope the clippers win this yr. I'm so tired of the media manipulating the load management discussion and trying to make it something it's not. I've never seen the media so much against a team before, it's crazy. Not to this level.

Load management is injury preservation. It's not rest for the sake of rest.

Facts.

Just saw Nick Wright last week say something along the lines of the Lakers and Bucks are on a collision course for the finals.

He's also desperate to convince the world that Kawhi is not in the discussion for the best player in basketball. Apparently, it's LeBron and Giannis. While this discussion doesn't particularly interest me, Kawhi just led a team that beat a Giannis led team in the playoffs.

wtf.

He said that kawhi is in a third tier of MVP discussions because of load management. Put him in a class of Spencer dinwiddie, Jimmy Butler, PG and guys like that.

There's no qualifications of games that need to be played to win. The clippers are projected to win 58 games according to 535. If they do, that will be largely to kawhi( and PG.) So third tier MVP balloting is bull. That's a narrative he's trying to put out there.

Its annoying watching sports while rooting for this team. I'm a big kawhi fan so I followed his career from the third yr on. I never seen anything like this.

I feel the media does misrepresent athletes and misquotes **** all the time but this is kawhi Leonard. This is a guy that they don't have a quote to quote from. The vendetta is on thick.

I feel like everyone's crapping on the guy for no apparent reason. He delivers, he loves to play basketball. I don't think he'd go **** it I hate playing 82. I think games like Chicago irritates kawhi because he probably feels like if he was there, he could have helped them win but he has to do what's in the best interest for him personally and for the team in the long run.

Westbrook has yet to play a b2b this season. No attention.

MVP is for the regular season. I think playing less than the full slate of games should lessen your chances, like it does in baseball. LeBron seems to want it. Let him have it, and burn himself up, LOL.

Only MVP that Kawhi's interested in the Finals MVP. And that's why we got him. We had our share of regular-season thrills with Lob City. Next!!

Sure but I just think it's disrespectful to say kawhi Leonard belongs in the same category as Spencer dinwiddie in any conversation at any given time unless we're talking about which state they're both from.

After getting smacked by Giannis, LeBron might load manage

This is the type of kawhi is like to see every night. Not settling. Using his strength to finish at the rim . Great game by him. One of his best games this season despite the statline not being as impressive as the 42.

He controlled the pace. He had 20 points way before any of our players has 10.

He didn't force anything he was patient. He's the engine of the car that will take us where we need to go.

they must sell them. I saw a kid with it in a picture with kawhi at his NB autograph signing.
