I picked up McCaw off waivers after tonight. Nurse is playing him all 48 minutes after this.

Let's be real, he's not that good but he's not that bad either. Not an NBA caliber player is a bit of a stretch.

Most "NBA caliber" players have the ability to have good games and can look good in certain match ups and when put in the position to best utilize their skill set. Popovich and what he is able to do with role players is a classic example of this.

McCaw is not the exception but given that he is not elite, he is going to have bad games too.

Just checked McCaw's numbers. Going into hiding. Had to post this twice.

Maybe this will be McCaw's FVV moment, where he goes from 100% trash to absolute stud? Probably not, but anything is possible.

Exactly what happened. Fred showed McCaw all the online hate. Said: dude you gotta show em. Actually Boucher had a hell of a game the little he played.

Here’s a better observation

Nick Nurse is a top 10 NBA coach and Randle McMurphy is a poster on Realgm.com

No...it's one game and now the plan that was cooking all along has been revealed. Our offense won't be 4 on 5 if mccaw has the ball and it suddenly gives a whole new offensive structure.

A reasonable stat line necessary from McCaw when he carries the ball up the floor is 4 points, 7/8 assists, a couple steals. In this role that was being planned all along that's all we need because now Fred and Kyle will be primary scorers while McCaw distributes. We'll play this scheme until our injured players return. Kyle and Fred will score more points than they usually do (while getting less assists)...and we'll win more often than lose with our key offensive players out.

This scheme will also be something we can employ even while fully healthy whenever the offense gets stagnate. Having both Kyle and Fred play off the ball can accumulate points in a hurry.

That's typical with Raps fans..the call out our players garbage then gets a bigger garbage in return and watch the guy they initially thought was garbage become a stud.

Some Raptor fans here are bipolar.

Welcome to Toronto!
See Leafs trade young European kids for torn ACLs on some good Canadian kid who won awards 15 years ago.

Neither the Leafs or the Raptors doing that anymore. We are on the winning end of trades . See championship ring.

Played great tonight. Kyle made special mention of him postgame, said he is an NBA point guard.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Seriously? You find somebody else running a team who actually believes he is. Let them play him 40 minutes a game and get 2 points out of him instead.

Hope Scott Perry and the Knicks were watching the postgame.

They purposely gave him the ball on the very first possession. This was the plan all along and tonight was the night they hatched it. All that inexplicable playing time was preparation for a new offensive structure.

Calling myself out as a guy who said that mccaw hasn't deserved the volume of playing time. Will only be too happy if he proves me wrong.
