During the game against the Spurs he said we're not far away from the playoffs and when we're health we'll have a chance to make it

I can’t believe I’ve got to this point where I can’t even watch the games.

The era of Rodney Stuckey followed by the era of Reggie Jackson was too much for me.

Drummond’s inability to develop offensive skill and Blake’s lack of health and regression have been depressing too.

I honestly just got emotional thinking about how passionate a young me was about my Pistons and where I’m at today.

As far as what moves to make to turn this around.... I honestly don’t know. It seems like everybody can go. Other than Luke Kennard and maybe Galloway all the rest of the players have some trait or tendency that I wouldn’t mind off the squad. I need to watch a game

My bad, thought I saw someone say two seconds.

I said i would give a couple 2nds, i dont think thats a very big deal to take a chance on him with. Still young and a very athletic PG but a selfish player.

IDK, im not really a fan of his or anything but these might be the type of chances we need to take at cheap prices.

We've had 10 years of talented, but questionable IQ guys.

This a joke. Get healthy, take the 8 seed and get swept again.

Problem is we have a relatively easy January which will give false hope.

If we got healthy, yeah, we have a chance to make the playoffs. We're only 2.5 games back right now. The magic are 4 games under .500 and holding that 8th spot.

The stupid part is that ownership seems to think barely squeaking into the playoffs is an acceptable goal. When your star player is 30, you need to be contending immediately or blowing it up.

Another funny thing is that this year's draft is filled with absolute chuckers in guard position. I'm sure we are going to get one of those

No we better get a good wing... if we get one of those overrated guards I'm done with the Pistons for another 5 years. Only guards I'm good with in this draft are Anthony Edwards and Lamelo for his passing. Anything other than that, get the best 2-way wing available.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Haliburton looks good as a all around efficient PG. Who would be the two way wing we could take if we manage to stay in the top 10?

Jaden McDaniels is pretty interesting, kinda gots a Ingram build to him and gets after it defensively when you watch him.

Wonder if Portland would take Markieff/Snell/Galloway for Bazemore, Trent Jr, Hezonja and a 2nd.

I see two straight up busts in both of those guys but I don't have the best eye for talent

Yeah Lamelo is very inefficient/injured and Edwards is now down to 18 ppg while shooting 31% from 3.

Then Wiseman only played 3 games before declaring and Cole Anthony is out with a torn meniscus. Thats pretty much your consensus top 4 this year. Pretty sure RJ Hampton is also injured lol

Its a rough top spot this year.

Edwards
Wiseman
Anthony
Hampton
Ball
Haliburton
McDaniels
Okongwu
Toppin
Stewart

Thats probably my top 10 right now. Still dont know much about some of the international players like Avdija, Hayes or Maledon. Maybe they got some promise to them.

There was no reporting there though.

It's just that we have the well earned reputation of being desperate for big names that don't actually carry that much value.

Wish we would hire Billups as our GM. Would at least add a little excitement and hope

He needs the reps first working at the bottom to mid tiers in a FO before he becomes GM.
