He ain’t the best shooter in the draft lol maybe best Shooter out of the top point guards.

I like his play style though you usually can’t go wrong in today’s nba with point guards like him that can shoot and make plays.

Who the best in the draft?

RJ Hampton is growing on me. Awesome skill set.

McDaniels is certainly a project I’d look at if we fell to pick 6/7...

Best shooter to likely be drafted?

I’d go with Aaron nesmith Out of Vanderbilt. He’s been going crazy from 3 this year.

Jordan nwora out of Louisville also can light it up.

Both guys just role players at the nba level though

Halliburton is shooting 42.4% from 3 and is likely to be drafted in the lottery

He’s hard to evaluate he doesn’t rub off as a natural shooter And has a weird shooting mechanic but he does have a good 3 pointer % on the season can’t take that away from him.

:dontknow:

I wouldn’t mind trading down for him if he can sustain his play. Could be a steal of the draft

I haven’t been high on him but check out some of his advanced stats compared to a couple of the other top guards

glad to see my UK team get a win over Louisville, was scoping out Nwora who went 2-11 and 1-6 from 3, but my guy maxey stepped up with 27 on 9-14 4-5 from 3 and 7 reb. Will be a good pick for us at 9

Reflecting on last year, the most polarizing player in the draft was probably Ja Morant. Pretty decent chance he wins rookie of the year. Anyhow one of the most common criticisms of him was that he can't shoot, and that due to his elbow flares and release he wouldn't be able to shoot on an NBA level over bigger defenders. But there was reason for optimism as not only did he improve from 30% to 36% from 3 year 1 to year 2 on increased attempts, he also maintained a solid 81% ft percentage on high volume.

Some believe college 3pt shooting percentage and attempt rate combined with ft% can sometimes be a predictor of shooting success at the NBA level. Still a very small sample size early in the season but Ja Morant thus far is shooting 39.3% from 3 in the NBA. This is even higher than many players who were projected to be good shooters. I continue to believe that there is something behind this model and will keep an eye on this statistic with the current crop of incoming players.

I've seen a lot of lamelo in Australia, and I also watch most OKC games (for Aquaman). But I do love Shai Gilgeous-Alexanders game and I have noticed that Lamelos game is very similar to his.
- similar body type and height
- same quickness and ball handling, including that hesitation and first step
- weird shot style
- crafty finishing with layups (I believe SGA has the best finishing in the nba close to the hoop)
Would this be the closest nba comparison for Lamelo?

You're not accounting for SGA's defense though. I think I'd go with flashier lonzo with better FT shooting and worse defense, but I dunno

I know it didn’t go well at all outside of the first 1 or 2 games. But man Cole Anthony became radioactive on the board. The more I am
Watching the more I’m coming around to still being pleased if he is the pick. I know not a popular opinion but there’s something about
Him

The SGA comp isn’t bad, but SGA was showing strong improvement in his jumper. LaMelo’s form is gross.

In my opinion, LaMelo is the most exciting player in this draft. I just wish the shot wasn’t so damn ugly.

been listening to some scouting reports and pods. I don't claim to be an expert, but they are all saying Cole is much better than he has been playing. His team is garbage. He gets 0 points off of assists as there is no one to pass to. He also has no one to break down the defense and get him open shots. They also mentioned NC has 2 trees in the front that constantly clog the lane preventing him from getting easy buckets.

Yeah I’m not quite sure there’s a huge franchise player. I’d be excited for Edwards or Cole. Melo and Wisemen sure I can buy myself into believing

Definitely highest ceiling IMO but the lowest floor out of the top prospects. Would be by far the riskiest pick to make at the top of the draft but would be worth it if it pans out because the other dudes are just average to me.

I dont think ive been less excited about the top of a draft in a long while.

Trade the pick in all honesty.

Man I do not care for LeMelo. Like his brother he can only play in full court pushing the ball, his half court game is dead to go along with his shooting, but unlike his brother he doesn't know when to quit like shooting 20% from 3 is ok. I'll take Anthony Edwards. Cole, or RJ over him any day. Actually I'm really not feeling any of them so if the Knicks decide to trade the pick I'm down for once.
