A meddling owner should sell shares & go buy into his hometown Knickerbockers. Don't ruin our franchise again.

Its astonishing to me that either of our owners think they know enough about basketball to make major team decisions. Thats what the gm is for.

Having giannis is like having the biggest dick in that room. They need to act accordingly.

Maybe Lasry is the Knicks mole in the room trying to push Giannis to Madison Square.

Here's how I took it (and remain convinced): some low level video operations guy wants to overstate his connections to the org, talks to me about a conversation that probably did occur - as I think it would be negligent to not discuss all options. I don't think the trade is imminent or even likely, but it does show me that the FO is really trying to win a championship and considering all options to do so, even if that would involve a horrible Chris Paul contract.

Also, FWIW, I think Paul + Gallo does have a higher ceiling than Bledsoe + Middleton, but also a much lower floor, since they've both never seemed to be able to play a full season. Also, the chemistry change would be pretty jarring, but Paul could probably work with Giannis on turning him into a bitch to the refs, which might make him shoot 20 FTs a game.

Hard pass on adding Chris Paul vibes to my favorite team.

This loses it's impact if they keep faltering in May. Not to mention the clock on actually having Giannis is publicly ticking and could incite desperation.

I personally don't think they've meddled to an undesirable degree but who really knows. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they're more involved than we've heard.

We are doing great, why risk with the chemistry of the team? I suggest we stay pat or maybe do a smaller trade (around Sterling, Wilson) if there is something interesting available.

If we fail in the playoffs then we should try to restructure the team in the summer

I hated the idea at first.......but looking into it more.....i'd consider it very much if you didn't need to include Ersan

The difference between Khris and Danilo is almost non existent. If Danilo slides into the 3 position, you're not losing anything.

Paul, if healthy, is an upgrade over Bled. That being said, between Paul's contract, age, and health....that worries the hell out of me.

IF it works, you re-sign Gallo. If it doesn't, you could potentially have some cap space to sign a top FA this summer.

Dario Saric played really well alongside Ersan in Philly, is only 25 and a restricted free agent this summer.

im not shaking up **** in that locker room to "get better" until Giannis signs the supermax. this way if all these get better trades that could easily make us worse happen...... then we wont look like fricking buffoons to the entire league with Giannis up in the air.

I always thought eventually trading Middleton was the way to go but I don't think CP3 is the guy to do it. Cheick Diallo on the other hand...

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that this was an offer floated around as a "break glass in case of emergency" trade had we underwhelmed to start the season. But there's basically a zero percent chance that anybody in the front office is seriously entertaining this idea now or in the future. We could go .500 between now and the trade deadline and still be at 37-13.....

If we could find a guy who is just as productive as middleton but more traditionally athletic..... and a guard who is guaranteed to shoot good each and every playoff but does everything else worse because it isn't fan valued as much.....then we literally would have nothing to talk about anymore except sterling brown

No need to add Gallo (and Middleton), if Bucks feel better to roll with Paul in the playoffs than Bled.

CP3 for Bledsoe, Ersan, RoLo, Pat, Korver (or Brown) works. This is too rich for Oklahoma and looks like a bad idea for Milwaukee, but it can be fixed this way.

1. Oklahoma won't use FRPs to unload CP3, but they can send 5.5 mil cash to Milwaukee (helps with taxes) and Noel (via waivers) to replace RoLo.
2. A third team with PG needs can be used to get Bledsoe, send a FRP to Milwaukee and unload it's **** to Oklahoma.
3. Some SRPs and one more good min vet could also come from this 3-team trade.

So this ends up for Milwaukee...

CP3, Noel, Vet, FRP, two SRPs, cash for Bledsoe, Ersan, RoLo, Pat, Korver.

CP3/Hill
Wes/DDV
Midds/Brown
Giannis/Wilson
Lopez/Noel

And then Thanasis, Vet and buyout ring chasers. It could be a better lineup for the playoffs. I don't know if there can be an agreement with OKC in which they buyout some of Ersan, Rolo, Pat, Korver and Milwaukee gets them back.

If Bledsoe never got injured I'd do a healthy wager the team is sitting at 31-3.

Brown, Wilson, and 2nd. What does that get back? Can it get a better rotational and playoff piece? Expiring vet or youth on longer reasonable contract. Don’t want to add anyone else to match salaries. That’s the Bucks ideal package to hopefully get another piece. One of the M. Bridges would be nice but I doubt either Charlotte or Phoenix wants to trade them. NY has Frank, DSJr, or Knox all in the salary equal to the package range. Not sure what that could bring back really. Be interesting thou.

Hard pass. I'm not a Khris or Bledsoe stan by any means, but they each have a few years left as top-50 players. CP3 is much less likely to be healthy than either of them, and only a little more likely to be effective in any given series because of age-related decline. He's so much slower now. Vet savvy only counts for so much. He always relied on quickness and smarts, and now he only has the smarts.

And Gallo is just a mediocre rental. Thanks but no thanks.

No clue if we should do this. Does it make us worst? I do not think so. Does it make us better? I have no clue. Just make sure our superstar is in on this. His opinion matters the most.

Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.
