Saw on twitter, but what about trading Sterling for a second round pick & signing Jeff Green?
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

He plays in the exact same system now and isn't even a special G league player. Plus he's an A hole.

The Cavs run the exact same system as the Bucks? Interesting. Do you have personal experience with him?

Good with the first part, would wait on signing anyone till buyout season. Think someone better than Jeff Green will pop up.

Charlotte did last year when he was on a 2 way with them.

And you got from Charlotte that he's an "A-hole"?

We could sign Green and waive him later in theory. But that would be bad optics.

AD and Boogie didn't work. There's a real question on modern versions of twin towers being the best thing, especially when one guy is a lazy sack.
I'll take poor man's Steph a million times over KAT

If you’re comparing boogie and Towns I don’t really see it besides the defensive effort. Towns skillset has always been modernized. Boogie was forced to adapt his skills to the current NBA. You can say they are both losing players, but wining players aren’t getting dealt because (news flash) they are winning.

Unless KAT is willing to just sit in the corner I dont really see how he fits with Giannis. (Much less preferring him over Dame)

Towns is on a losing team partially because his teammates suck, but also because he has no toughness, heart, and minimal intangibles. Classic guy who wants to be on a winning team, but doesn’t want to actually do all the little things to help a team win (or he maybe doesn’t understand what he needs to do, that is possible as well)

A lot of NBA players like the idea of being an nba player and all the perks that come with it (dating women they’d have no chance with otherwise, being rich, having fame, popularity, etc) but don’t actually love the game.

So I see everyone's already made Towns the new "not a winning player" whipping boy? Obviously Dame is still the better player though. I'm not sure this is even debatable.

this is an interesting concept.. easy for me to say but i dont think i would want to date the kind of women who, all other things being equal, would only date me if I were an nba player. that just screams baggage to me. if i'm 6'6", super athletic, couldn't make the nba but still slaughtering the rec leagues, i'm sure i'm going to eat pretty well regardless.

RRyder823 wrote:Unless Dame (everyone not named Giannis goes on the table in that scenario) suddenly becomes available the only trades that should be discussed are Wilson/Sterling (separate, together or with the Indy pick attached) package trades. If you can get the right team to value two of those 3 you very possibly could get a guy that might crack a 9 man playoff rotation without giving up key players

Every other trade that gets suggested pretty much ends up being mostly lateral moves that risk chemistry in favor of pretty modest at best gains. Pretty much tinkinering for the sake of tinkering

Preach. I’d expand that list to include Beal, but I doubt him or Lillard will be available this season.

Beal can’t be traded this season so that one is definitely off the table.

I'm pretty sure Towns is not a winning player in terms of being a max player for a playoff team right now but I'm pretty confident in him being such a player during his contract. He's still young, he's shown that he can give a **** on occasion (even on losing teams) and he's shown he can be elite on defense of he wants to. He's a monster waiting to be unleashed in the right situation. He may be a number 1 masquerading as a number 2 but either way he'll be a damn good player.
