I think the disconnect is that he's not a #1, an alpha, a natural leader, whatever you want to call it. On that I 100% agree on, but very few guys in the league are, and even fewer of them possess those traits plus have All-NBA talent. He's someone you're gonna need to pair with an a relatively equal talent who covers his deficiencies (like say.....Jimmy Butler) if you want to win a championship. But this "not a winning player" crap is just dumb and has been thrown around to plenty of guys who didn't deserve it (Boogie, Pau, T-Mac, etc.).

Towns shoots shoots 42% on 3p in 8.5 attempts per game, he will feast next to Giannis but there is no way to get him

He's the same way not an alpha as is AD on the Lakers. AD is still the best player on the Lakers. A player like Butler just came a few years too soon.

Yea, no idea what he's talking about. Giannis and KAT on the court at the same time would be stupid good. The amount of things we could do

You're pretty much turning him into a less well rounded version of Bosh next to Giannis. There would be diminishing returns from putting them on the court together. Not to mention the gapping hole defensively he creates.

The idea that they would blend seemlisly is very 2kish imo

Kat can operate anywhere on the court. No idea what you're talking about.

Hilariously enough he’s shooting 42% on almost 9 attempts a game. Seems like he’d be Uber Brook on offense

Add donte + a future 1st to what you've already proposed and they may not hang up as quick.

you can't add Donte and make it work.

to me, "not a winning player" means either they don't play defense (kinda true for Towns) or are a low-efficiency chucker (not true) or a turnover machine (not true) or are head cases (I don't know of Towns being a wack job). Overall, he'd be a positive on any team.

Lol, I'd eat a shoe if Horst signed off on ANY trade that brought CP3 to Milwaukee. In the very much unlikely event that CP3 was traded here, it would be a deal that Horst has no part of...

They'll have to add another contract, say layman

Oh, I'm not worried about it. Unless feelings about Paul and Middleton have drastically changed within the Bucks FO in the last few months, agree on the virtually impossible.

I’m not sure if Dakota Mathias is an NBA player but the dude shoots beautiful dart of a long ball and has really nice vision. I’ve seen enough to want him on a 2-way to bolster the Herd for a title run. Yeah whatever so what if this is my New Year’s Eve, everyone just leave me alone.

Right. This summer the FO clearly committed to Middleton as our #2 for the foreseeable future, presumably with the blessing of Giannis. I have seen absolutely nothing over the first 35 games of the season that would make either party second guess that decision.

That's what makes me think this is all smoke and no fire. If the FO and Giannis committed to Middleton in July, he's done nothing to make them sour on that decision.
