The injury would explain that.
Still, to your point, it seems to me that LeBron is a bit afraid of Kawhi and doesn’t want to know who’s best. Right now, it’s Kawhi. When is the next one? He’d better attack him in that game.
Phil Jackson lesson: how do you stop an unstoppable offensive player? Run your offense so he has to play non-stop defense. By the fourth quarter, he’ll miss some tired shots. In this case it means LeBron should post up Kawhi, go to work down low, bang KL around, make him work hard.
Vogel blew the obvious. They should’ve gone to AD more. The Clips have absolutely no answer for him.
That's the passiveness I referred to earlier in the thread. He looked to pass almost immediately when defended by Kawhi and to a certain extent George. Those guys are 2 great defenders so it's not all that surprising. It will be very difficult to beat this Clippers team given they have 3 very good defenders to throw at our best offensive player. This Clippers team reminds me of the 08 Celtics team that had 3 very good defenders that made life miserable for Kobe.
Disagree with the Clippers not having an answer for AD. Dude is shooting %42 fg and 13% from 3s against the Clippers... his numbers against the Clippers are atrocious. There's no chance we beat this Clippers team with AD playing so poorly on offense.
When LBJ is in attack mode (I’m assuming the passiveness has been because of injuries), they do not have an answer for him with single coverage, I disagree. Like we don’t have one for Kawhi. If Kuz has his shot going and gets to hold the ball at times, we will beat them because of the AD factor.
We need better low post defense, fundamentals like boxing out is falling by the wayside without practice for DH and JMG, apparently. Help defense needs synchronizing. Can’t believe I’m saying this but we could sure use Cousins against the Clippers.
