The NBA has massive issues.

Harden has to be in the conversation for greatest scorer of all time, right?
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Greatest scorer of this modern era sure. Greatest scorer of all time? Hard to quantify.

If a guy is in the conversation for greatest scorer of the modern era I'd find it really tough to believe he's not In the conversation of all time.

Okay. Let him be in the conversation. He's still not better than MJ who was posting similar numbers with hand checking and in a not stat inflated era.

I'm not sure who I like in the west anymore but I'm starting to be convinced it's not Denver. Between Murray underachieving and Jokic's resting heart rate of 200 BPM, I'm out on the Nuggets. Although they do have a guy off their bench shooting 41% from three now.

Only billy could harness his talent into positive production.

have you watched nba defenses from the mid to late 80's? this hand checking stuff was a big deal in the early to mid 00's when teams started playing real defense. it wasn't in the mid to late 80's when nobody knew what they were doing.

What about the 90s? Are you saying there were no defenders then either?

There were good defenders but not very many standout individual defenders or team defenses that I can remember (slick correct me if I’m wrong). The team I followed, The Sonics, got a rep as a good D team in the 90’s and did have a couple of good individual defenders and played a scramble, switching, get hands in the passing lanes, illegal zone kind of style that was effective in the regular season but not so much in the playoffs with a couple of notable exceptions. I do think the 90’s was more “physical” at least in the paint but if anything MJ benefited from the rules that let an offensive player be physical and aggressive as much if not more so than the defenders.

Interesting. So I guess Harden would be considered an elite defender in the 90s. He's already average overall in this era and an elite post defender.

If anybody wants to see the lebron effect go check out Cleveland's board. That place used to be a beehive...

They've got realcavsfans.com - most of Cavs fans are there. Similar to the Houston's Clutchfans.net

TOP-50 in points and assists, TOP-5 in rebounds :king: Still, I don't think he'll get selected for the All-Star game. Indy is too small of a market. Tacko Fall (the guy who played a total of 20 minutes this season) has twice as many votes as him in the voting...
