Now I know why we lost against the sixers, Giannis and Wes did not beat up Rolo

Listened to Windhorst’s latest pod where he discusses the top six teams in each conference. He leads off with Milwaukee and mentioned that people from the Bucks organization contacted him, and were upset about last weeks pod that he did with Nick Friedell, where they both said the Bucks weren’t title favorites. Waiting for a NYC hedge fund to purchase RealGM in the near future. 8-)

Off-course not but it's an entertaining thought.

In non-trade news, the Bucks face only two teams currently above .500 in January. Boston on the 16th and Denver on the 31st.

I'm pretty sure Towns is not a winning player in terms of being a max player for a playoff team right now but I'm pretty confident in him being such a player during his contract. He's still young, he's shown that he can give a **** on occasion (even on losing teams) and he's shown he can be elite on defense of he wants to. He's a monster waiting to be unleashed in the right situation. He may be a number 1 masquerading as a number 2 but either way he'll be a damn good player.
Lol, "on occasion".

When Giannis blocked MDJ into the stands, you knew he gave a sheet more than "on occasion".

If you use Giannis for barometer on competitiveness you’ll never be happy

The Bucks will be traveling to Paris for their game against the Hornets on Jan. 24, leaving them with the fewest true road games (five) this month. They also have the fewest January games (two) against teams currently over .500, and they'll be at home with a rest advantage for both of those: Jan. 16 vs. Boston and Jan. 31 vs. Denver. The Bucks are 6-0 with a rest advantage and 21-0 against teams currently at or below .500.

That's unreal, and OKC can and would flip it all to get Towns, except they could substitute Adam's for Gallinari, who the Twolves would then flip for even more picks.

That pick is a bad comp. They gave up so much because they were essentially trading for George + Kawhi.

I actually kinda like that we have an easier schedule early and then it ramps up. Feel like it will prepare us for playoffs better.

The Bucks resting half their team the last two weeks is going to be hilarious.

It was similar to the Anthony Davis package.

That is fair. I don't see KAT as close enough, though.

I don't know how we get him, but academically, if we did, I'd put him in a 2 man game with Giannis where KAT is the ball handler and Giannis is rolling short with shooters in the corners. Also, KAT has the tools and the head to do what Brook does defensively. Does he have the desire? I don't think so, but I would have never guessed Brook would be as good in this role as he has been, and I thought that signing was perfect.

Last ten games stats:

Bucks #1 in net rtg, #2 defense and #7 offense.

Bucks #1 in midrange shooting %, #14 in attempts per game, #11 in makes a game.

Bucks #9 in restricted area makes a game over that time.

Open and wide open 3% have been about average.

Teams hit 36.7% of open 3s against the Bucks which is above average, and 38% of wide open 3s which is about average.

Philly shot 8 of 12 from 3 on open 3s (average is around 32%) and 12 of 28 on wide open 3s (would be around the top team for the year on 3s). Dallas shot 8 of 16 on open 3s, again way above average.

Bucks shot below 30% on wide open 3s against the T'Wolves, Philly, and Dallas. They were 1 of 16 on open 3s against Indiana.

Bucks had the league lowest amount of drives a game at 34.9. Bucks were 6th in the league in postups with the 3rd most points, 3rd highest FG%, 3rd lowest assist%, and 2nd highest TO%. Ball goes into the post and it goes into the hoop.

KAT has the tools to handle more offensively, and allow Giannis to divert even more energy on the defensive end. But...no way are we getting KAT.
