When you are in charge of something this big it is impossible to please everyone all the time.
Still, Stern took this league to new heights and will be remembered as a legend in sports management.
Farewell and rest easy Mr. Commissioner. You will be missed.

Re: David Stern
This will always be my favorite David Stern moment.
I was in high school and my sister and I would pretend being David Stern announcing the Magic traded for Hardaway.
Man the glory days of this franchise. Now we have to watch this mess of a team.
Orlando Magic are BACK!!!

Always respected Stern. He ran the league and did what was best for business. Even with Bird, Magic, Jordan and LeBron, he ran the league and achieved a lot. Can’t say the same for his predecessor, who pretty much does what LeBron tells him to do. Stern will be missed.

Larry O'Brien left office long before Lebron was drafted.

... as for Adam Silver, he is easily the best commissioner in American pro sports.

Ok, caught me with the wrong term there haha. His replacement, I meant. I’ll politely disagree. I don’t think Silver is a good commissioner at all. His handling of the situation with China and the Rockets GM was awful. He was like a bad politician.
