Re: 2019-2020 College/Draft thread (Part 1)
I like Wiseman and I think he's gonna be good in the NBA but his biggest impact is going to be on the defensive end. I don't think he's nearly as good on the offensive end as some believe. Nothing like a KAT or Embiid type. He's the closest thing to young Dwight Howard that I can remember.

I think he's a good player, but if you're building an offense around a guard these days, they need to be able to shoot off the dribble, which he can't. He's like a better passing Sexton really, which is fine but you can't really build the offense around him like you could build an offense around say, Trae Young
He's been the best rookie so far, but it's just like in college, if you exclude Zion then nobody else is really playing at a good level, so he looks better by comparison
I said before the draft, I'd like him more if we had scoring wings and he just needed to break down the D and facilitate, which is why I thought he'd be perfect for Phoenix, cause you already have Booker and Ayton to do the scoring, but for us, we need high level scorers

Ja Morant is having the best rookie season by a point guard since Lillard ... he is the real deal in my eyes. His jumper is legit too

Nobody needs to exclude Zion since he is too fat to play and needs to learn how to walk again. Ja keeps proving haters wrong tho.

I wouldn't even say he's been the best rookie. I see other rookies playing very well but don't get the recognition and some have been slept on. For example PJ Washington has been balling in Charlotte but nobody talks about him, but he's looking like one of the best steals in the draft. Rui has looked good. Herro has looked good. Obviously RJ has looked good and would probably look even better if we featured him more and put the ball in his hands more and opened up the floor for him better.
But yeah Ja has looked good and will probably become an NBA star, but I just don't like his reckless nature and inconsistent shooting. He can ball out in Memphis but I still don't have any regrets over not getting him, he just doesn't do it for me personally.

So he'll probably become a NBA star but he doesn't do it for you? A star PG is exactly what we've been needing for many many years. You get a star PG and it's much easier for everything else around him to fall in place.

Don't like his style, that's all. He aint the first or last NBA star PG. We can find one and get one if we really want to. Would rather have RJ and find a PG somewhere else. Don't care for Ja Morant
We can draft Haliburton and watch him bust Ja's ass

Yeah but the only problem with that is Ja has already proven he can make that transition to the NBA and do it well and as we all should know some of the best college players get drafted in the lottery but can't make that transition to the NBA, so i'd rather have the proven guy over the question mark if i had to choose. I've been on here saying that i think we absolutely need to get our future PG out of this draft though. It's time we finally get a legit PG on this team cause then we can really start building this team around that PG. There's some very interesting PG's in this draft that will go top of the lottery, late lottery and even a few that will slip out of the lottery. I wouldn't mind if we drafted a PG with our own pick and then draft another one with whatever 1st round pick we end up getting for Morris or if we end up trading Randle or whoever we trade for another 1st round pick.
