I rather watch the Knicks when Melo was there than now.. Its not your wrong but at least you had someone entertaining..
Trust me, we were tortured for years.
There is nothing entertaining about a guy getting the first pass, holding it for 14 seconds, then taking an inefficient shot...over...and over....and over.....and over........and over..........again.....
For years, the majority of the possessions went like that.
And he played no defense and couldn't win.
Now they're at least trying to play team basketball. At least now there's a chance of winning, unlike the melo years.
But to each his own...
And what happened the year he had a healthy Amare with Sheed, JKidd and all the vets? Melo was in the MVP conversation.
It isnt Melo's fault all his Knicks teammates were constantly injured.
And the best players shouldn't be that hard to build around. And the best players also adapt their game when it clearly isn't working.
LowIQ, no defense, me-first, stats-only is how he was, is, and will be.
HoF, absolutely, as it's becoming a lot like baseball, in that it's the Hall of Fine, not Fame.
But not a winner. Unless you count Olympics, when his usage was limited. Plus, Olympics doesn't help Knicks.
He'll be known as the guy who jacked up ticket prices, but brought nothing else in his tenure to NY. There was more success when it was amare, Gallo, and team basketball, all prior to him demanding money and a trade versus winning.
But again, to each his own
