Hot and Heavy with the Hawks (Drummond Trade Rumors go National)

Post#1 » by ven412 » Fri Jan 3, 2020 9:44 pm

Nothing imminent, but Dre could be catching Offensive Rebounds from Tre Young's deep threes before the trade deadline is over

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28416633/pistons-hawks-talked-andre-drummond-trade-sources-say

Hawks have the Nets 1RP in 2020 if it's greater than 14 once over the next three drafts

Net's FRP is top 14 protected and then becomes a SRP. Nets could miss the playoffs this season and then we get their SRP out of it - yuck. I don't think they trade Cam for a potential rental Dre either.

The pick is top 14 protected for 2020, 2021, 2022 and if not conveyed by then it becomes Brooklyn's 2022 2nd round pick.

Barring catastrophic injury, no way a Durant/Kyrie team doesn't make the playoffs in the east next season.

Brooklyn is currently 4 games ahead of the 9th place Hornets, without having Kyrie most of the season.

In other words, the protections on the pick don't scare me personally.

If they can't trade Cam why would you take the deal then? You're losing 17 and 17 for what?

Think we could get De'Andre Hunter and expiring for Dre? That would be nice. Need a good young SF

Hunter won't be available.
He has shown far to much potential for Atlanta. Nothing is certain that Dre would stay in Atlanta.

I agree we wouldn’t get Hunter. But Drummond would stay.

FYI: Looks like Turner and Parsons are both inactive tonight for Atlanta with no reasons given.

ESPN keeps saying 2020 1st and cap relief is what we are after. Obviously Blake wouldnt be involved so is Snell maybe in the proposed deal cause thats really are only other bad contract.

Hmmm...

Chandler Parsons + Evan Turner + FRP for Andre Drummond and Tony Snell passes the trade checker...

Not saying this would be ideal for both sides though

I’m predicting a Boston/Detroit trade.

Looks like they're being deactivated for the forseeable future because the team wants to focus on younger players.

That doesn't necessarily mean they're about to be dealt. Buyouts are possible too.

That would be alright if we could dump Snell on them and pick up their Brooklyn 1st and Reddish.
Dre Snell LG Thon for Turner Parson Cam Bembry works cap wise. Meh at least it clears cap and gives us a pick and youth

I don't think it works without Hayward and he's probably been their best playmaker this season.

Yeah, I don't see the Celtics as having enough empty salary to make a trade like that work.

Of course, the Celtics would know that too, and they're still reportedly interested. We'll see I guess.

Absolutely no Hayward. It's brown and a pick, for Andre and anyone else not named Kennard and the rookie.

That's a hardline for me. I don't care how Boston fan reacts as they are detached from reality to begin with. If they don't like it, fine. Atlanta it is.

I want a young player(prospect or youngish)and a pick, period.

Boston is in an undesirable position right now. They need a legit C and everyone knows it. They have to do something.

We'll see how it works out.

Brown's not happening. At all. He's already an elite two way wing and getting better. He's a big, maybe the biggest, part of who they are.

It would be Hayward and Romeo if it’s Boston.
