Lol some owners are just dumb. Hawks 8 games from 8th spot and somehow think Drummond gonna give them a playoff push. All they are doing is ruining a good draft pick. Get a top 3 pick in this year draft that gives you another potential allstar player to pair with Trae Young, and then your future is set.

"..then your future is set" are famous last words for a lot of GM's. Get a talent like Trae in the draft, then you have to run with it-- I don't sincerely think Drummond's the move, but whatever floats their boat.

Drummond in Boston would be cool too, but I doubt they take those type of chances/trades

They just want to get Trae some help; he's averaging 28 ppg as a Sophmore on 59% TS- get him whatever he wants

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

They on different timelines. Trae Young is 21 and Drummond is 26. It makes no sense. Go with the draft get someone around the same age. You have to use the GSW/OKC blueprint. You want your best players around the same age so they can peak around the same time.
And Drummond all likelyhood will opt, which will force Hawks to overpay. In the modern NBA I want my big to be able to create some offense on his own and as well as defend rim. Either can postup and punish small lineups or shoot to space the floor. No way am I am committing big dollars to for just a rim roller and dunker.
And on the future is set. You're right on that. Once you get that the talent you need to have a great developmental culture and fit the right pieces around your franchise players. The Hawks have one foundation piece in Young, I'm not sure John Collins is the second piece. He puts up good numbers, but with most young players is hard to tell whether they are numbers on a bad team or he's actually having an impact. If I were them, I'd shoot for Lamelo or Wiseman in this year draft, and build around Young and one of the two.

Don’t think Lebron will win a championship in L.A without more help. A.D is not going to be enough, they will get eliminated in the playoffs

actually i agree with you doc but not because of AD but Lebby is a little washed.

can't finish at the rim like he used to. without that backbone, he's pretty inconsistent. defense is slipping too. they probably need to upgrade Rondo to that retired priest. and hope for the best for Kuzma to come through coz i don't think they can get much for him in a trade. I reckon Clippers, Rockets and Bucks have clear advantage over em atm.

Apologize now for calling me dumb , smh

Even with AD scoring this high, he will be playing too many minutes , they are abusing poor AD. That’s how he will get injured
