I don't believe any of this Drummond crap...he's great for fantasy but not for a winning team

Gasol's true value is so underrated....he's basically the Draymond Green of our offense and defense. And those who say Draymond is trash are the same ones who would say Gasol is washed and don't really understand basketball.

Stop watching boxscores and watch more basketball

Masai refused to trade JV to Detroit for Drummond then traded him to Memphis for Gasol instead....you think he'll trade Gasol to Detroit now for Drummond?

I ain't buying this rumor. It happens - great. Power Surge and Norm or OG go the other way.

I only watch Pistons when they play Raptors, and Drummons always sucks. Maybe hes good overall, but my impressions is that hes just another Whiteside.

I would trade Serge and platoon Drummond and Marc.

Gasol seems to be our best facilitator and second best point guard.

Im back and forth on this but I suggest everyone stop doubting how Nurse and co would integrate him into the offence if this were to go down.

Put some respek on the mans mame, I have no doubt he would figure it out.

95% likely it will be a typical bad team to bad team trade.

not sure how we didn't trade Fred, Pascal and/or OG for Kawhi but were willing to give up OG for Drummond?!

Can't see OG going anywhere. His skill set and physical attributes are too rare in the NBA.

Not to mention, Drummond is a net neutral player but Blake is their biggest problem. They should bite the bullet and trade Blake to OKC for Paul and finally get some PG leadership. Drummond/Paul connection is better than what they have now.

Are you trying to suggest that they would trade Drummond for Norm Powell instead of asking for a 1st rounder?

whats the value of a frp between 20-30? why not get a player in his prime that you KNOW is not a bust.

If they wanted a player in his prime why wouldn’t they just hold on to Drummond? He’s actually a few months younger than Norm.

Give up assets for 4 months of Drummond only to see him sign elsewhere? I don't see it happening.

Well we did trade Demar (All star and all-nba) as the primary piece. It’s not as if it were a straight up Poelt for Kawhi trade. I’m sure that if we could have traded Ibaka and OG as the package (instead of Demar and Poetl), we probably would have.

That said, I agree - I doubt there is any truth to the rumour. If we could get AD for a package like Ibaka and Norm, I think that makes a lot of sense for us. We clear up salary for 2021, get a bit better this year, move Gasol to the bench (where he can help the offence move better) and make a little run this year with a talent improvement. But that’s not really a return for Detroit, unless Casey really loves those guys. I don’t want to give up picks for Drummond, so that kind of screws it all up. So basically a Drummond trade only makes sense if it’s an unbalanced trade.

drummond either a FA this summer or next. he's a goner. norm on a good reasonable contract at least for the next 2 years after this.

If it were Norm/Ibaka Detroit could demand some nominal lotto protected pick and they get something very competitive and Casey has a rapport with them assuming Casey stays post Drummond. We get Gasol for Embiid and Drummond improves rebounding and cleans up the garbage. It would be a solid run it back move and good deal for both teams.

What if the trade was literally like

Norm, Ibaka and 2nd round pick
For
Drummond

Masai is thinking long term and this gets us out of the guaranteed norms contract which is honestly a negative with all the FA’s the year before he expires. Plus you could actually see what Drummond looks like in a non garbage situation(Detroit) , playing with a good PG and actually in meaningful games. If the price is norm and serge I do it but probably that’s it. Heck you could sign and trade one of him/Marc in the offseason and end up ahead in the long run

Pretty sure Lowry can help retain Drummond.

That’s basically the only deal that really makes sense for us. I don’t see Detroit biting on it unless Casey really pushes for his ex players. Similar to the Gasol deal, I love getting big name players that we aren’t necessarily relying on having them on the floor in crunch time every game. This wouldn’t be like the JO trade where we needed him to turn back the clock.

Sometimes I question whether some of you have any NBA business knowledge when I read trade proposals.

This is called RealGM step your game up and think of all parties involved.

But can he get him to do it for under $25 million. Or a 1 year max with a team option 2nd year with a max raise?

PG Lowry - FVV - TD
SG FVV - McCaw - TD
SF OG - RHJ - Thomas
PF Siakam - Boucher
C Gasol - Drummond

Vincent Goodwill doesn't know his ass from his elbow. If anyone believes this, then please get in touch with me so I can sell you a bridge in Arizona.
