I would take Kuzma in a heartbeat. He's a big body that can score off the bench. Put him in a spread out system like this, get Brad to put him to work on his defense, and I think he could be great.

Imo, way too much for Kuzma. Dude just isn't good. Not worth a first rounder at all. What does he do well ?

Score— I’m a little worried about our bench scoring to be honest. Feel like we could use a vet who can put the ball through the hoop.

Kuzma?

Hard pass.

Would take shots away from Hayward/Kemba/Tatum/Brown and would be disgruntled about being a bench piece.

Plus Kuzma will be looking to get paid after next year

I get that and but Kuzma is young and inefficient. Not the answer there but then again not many cheap bench scorers are available. I do think bench scoring is mostly irrelevant on this team in the playoffs though. if our scorers play 34-38 min a night, there shouldnt be any minutes without 2 out of the 4 main guys on the team. As for the rest of the regular season, i'd just give those minutes to Langford and see what he can do.

I'd be for a knockdown shooter off the bench tho but Kuzma ain't that. I'd be shocked if he nets a first from anyone.

We have, at this point 3 FRP's and 1 SRP for next season. If no trade of 2 for 1 or 3 for 2, I think, at most, we will have 3 open slots next season. Unless traded, and I don't think he will, Hayward will be back under some form of contract, either new longer deal or him picking up his option. I think Kanter, like Hayward, will be back in the same way. Tatum, Theis and R. Williams team options will all be picked up. Green, Wannamaker, Ojeleye and Poirier are the only possibilities IMHO are the only ones that have the possibility of not being back. As a side note, I think Green will be back since he is under contract and has proved his worth, unlike Poirier.

My whole point is that we should be looking at attaching our lesser FRP's or SRP, to Semi, and /or Poirier to help facilitate a trade into a 3 team deal and picking up a better asset since we are not going to be able to add all those picks to next years roster. FRP's can't be made a 2 way player due to the guaranteed contract.

like:
Semi and the Mil pick and the 2nd round for a better asset, or Poirier and our pick and Mil's pick for someone better. Just an idea.

Well, it's always good to get "someone better." But it's useful to insert specific names, so that we can discuss, if "someone" is actually better, is "someone" a good fit for the roster and is "someone" actually available for the assets the Celtics are offering.

Just my opinion but think they need more bench scoring, either through a trade or buyout. A guy like Marcus Morris but more accepting of his role on 2nd unit as a wing scorer seems to be the biggest need.

Maybe Wayne Ellington as a 3 PT specialist?

Indeed. But I'm not even sure what kind of a player to try for. PG seems set with Walker/Smart/Waters. At center we have two guys who play and two really attractive projects. Inbetween we have three star natural SFs, plus a lot of Smart's minutes, with Langford and Grant Williams being developed.

No, that package is robbery if we were getting a top 5 player in return. I still don’t think it would be enough to get KAT but to suggest that package is robbery for a player who isn’t even top 10 ATM & isn’t great defensively is ridiculous.

I really don’t get this obsession with trading Semi ?
The guys doing exactly what we need. A guy on the bench who can shoot the corner 3 & defend anyone from 2 to 4.
He’s shooting 38% from beyond the arc this season & 42% the last 10 games while also playing decent defence.
If It’s in a package to get Bertans then i’m all for it but I don’t think it’s as important as people think.

Juan Hernangomez is probably available if we want a Jerebko type for the frontcourt rotation. He’s been up and down so far in his career in Denver but has decent size and length

Does Washington even want to trade Bertans? And isn’t he heading into free agency? Do we want to pay him 15 million?

Semi’s development has stalled and he may never have anything “click” that would make him more than a back of the rotation roleplayer - but he’s good in that role, plays hard, defends well.

Trade all of them tbh...

Dallas can have all three picks -- MIL 1st, BOS 1st, MEM 1st.

Brutal how overpaid big men are in this league.

Would Memphis be interested in their pick back for Valanciunas? Theis and a combo of guys like Langford, Wanamaker, Semi, Carsen, Grant would work salary wise. Not sure how they value him right now though..

Jonas is a big that I could see fit in really well here..

Nice. We need a shooting PG. Give them an extra 2nd round pick next year for Seth and I'm in.
