Yep. Started 4 games at SF against the Raptors, with Brogdon on the bench. Underrated factor in losing that series. By the time they realized it was a mistake, they had already blown games 3 and 4 and were well on their way to losing. I don't totally blame Mirotic, as that was a really bad match-up for him and he had no business playing SF, but the point remains: sometimes the whole is less than the sum of the parts. They didn't need another potential ~15-20 ppg scorer.
That's why I think most of the trade suggestions with DJ, Brown, and the Indy pick kind of miss the point. How would they get a clear upgrade with a package like that? Whose minutes do you reduce? You'd just be getting a guy who's maybe marginally better than Matthews, Ersan, or RoLo. I don't think you could even get someone as good as Hill. And even if you get a pretty good player, the fit is unproven. Even if you could get Iguodala for example, do you really want another bad shooter taking some of Ersan's minutes and some of Wes's? He's better than those guys, but not a better fit...
I think they should just trade Brown and/or DJ for 2nd-round picks to keep their books in order and keep the rest of the team together. If they do make a trade that significantly changes their rotation, it should be a borderline blockbuster that actually allows you to consolidate depth for a better top-7 rotation in the playoffs.
