rhule getting a 7 year, 70mm contract is a lot and understandable why you wouldn't want to pay all that.

but it still sucks, i'm reading good things about judge though.

I assume he has a similar belief on coaching to Saban and BB if lasted so long between both. Who knows if this will be a good hire or not but they he optics don’t look good in terms of how it unfolded

it means nothing but if he wasn't going to coach the giants, he was probably going to coach mississippi state ...

Sources tell FootballScoop Judge hopes to bring Tulane offensive coordinator Will Hall to State in the same capacity. Additionally, sources tell FootballScoop Judge has Tosh Lupoi high on his list for defensive coaches, potentially with the coordinator title. A third target, and likely the biggest lock, is Judge’s good friend from back in their days at State is Jody Wright. Wright knows the roads, having worked at Mississippi State, Alabama, UAB, Jacksonville State, etc… Wright is regarded as one of the more well liked and respected coaches in the area and he and Judge are good friends. Wright could wind up with an elevated title, such as assistant head coach.

I mean I guess I understand going with the coach you believe is going to build this franchise back up. But to be sold on him don’t you also have to be sold on his potential coaching staff?

It’s weird to say this is our guy now let’s hire a staff together. Usually these guys come with reco’s on who they would hire.
