Boy was I wrong! He has been rock solid. It's weird, his stats are only so-so (15, 6 and 4 per 36 on a TS% of .524), but his impact has been tremendous! He brings so much pace to the second unit and he, along with Bertans, are the reason that 2nd unit continues to dominate all opposition regardless of who is hurt.

He's also very good at understanding what the team needs. He gets other players involved and knows how to ride the hot hand, but then he calls his own number when needed. He has been just about perfect in the way he thinks the game. A true pro.

Another great move by Sheppard.

This team is SO MUCH MORE FUN now that Ernie is no longer running things. The way this team's being run is a vast contrast to how the past dozen or so years went.

I LIKE ROOTING FOR THE WIZARDS AGAIN!!! :)

Of course, it's also typical of fans to decide that someone is terrific based on one game, or a few, & set about trumpeting the fact & laughing at other fans who are missing something so very obvious! :)

Still, for sure Ish is playing like the seasoned pro he is. Not to mention how very good he looks in comparison to Isaiah Thomas!!!!! :)

As I was saying... Ish Smith Superstar! :)

Ish has been as much fun to watch lately as just about any player I’ve ever seen. Those handles? Wet.

Who?

Tommy killed it with that one, Sato is a fine player but we were better off turning him into assets . Ish is a better fit for the money

I was fine with the Ish signing, because he's such a smart point guard with a small ego, excellent ball-handler, good speed, but I never thought he'd shoot this well - I still remember him as a backup to Jeff Teague at WF - and he couldn't shoot at all back then, but the smarts stood out. That was an uber-talented team with Aminu and James Johnson at the forwards and a couple of decent 7 footers... and yes, I have digressed. Actually, I think Ish can do more as far as getting assists - watch them go up when Bertans and our top 2 centers return.

Ish 's jumper is really opening up the rest of his game. Robert Pack might deserve some credit for coaching him up as well.

Seems like Ish is channeling another Wake Forest PG who has maybe the best midrange shot in the NBA—Chris Paul.
