Again, I’ve and others have acknowledged that racism is sadly still very much alive and anyone in denial of that is a fool. so there’s no denial, no doubting, no ignoring at all. Racism is around everywhere. How that correlateS to basketball and this topic is beyond me, unless you want it to. Which is clear you do. Guys, can you all please show more restraint? Don't treat the General Board like it's absolute garbage and a field of battle.

It's one thing to joke around, goof around... it is another one to be relentlessly engaging in these repeated discussions.

Just read these last few pages.

One user bumped this topic to gloat and bait. It was unnecessary --- there is another topic where you can talk about the Nets "scrutiny". Why bump this one? Show some good sense. You're never going to come off well by bumping a topic to then bait users --- this will lead to strikes.

Then it escalated to someone else bringing in the tired old attack on Boston users --- this is incredibly unfair on Celtics fans and will lead to strikes. We are here to talk about basketball.

Hating on former players who didn't have the best of departures is pretty common. In any sport. With any fanbase. Attributing racism as a motive is very lazy and unfair in this message board setting.

And then it was a complete mess that turned into some of the most childish exchanges you will see around.

Let some of these topics breathe without you. Give them a break. There will never be shortage of opportunity to go back to these fights. We've seen plenty of topics more proper for those fights. Make sure you keep them clean enough so that they don't blow over like this one. The forum is never serious for you to get this bent out of shape.
