Bored. Here's a stat...

Teams with 1,000+ made threes for the season:
2015-16: GSW
2016-17: CLE, HOU
2017-18: BKN, HOU
2018-19: Eight teams including BOS
2019-20: Fourteen teams are on pace to surpass 1,000 made threes. 14th/fewest on the list is BOS.

the NBA should move back the 3pt line a foot or two and eliminate the corner 3.

the "3 or a layup" offense is so much less interesting to watch.

I don't know the solution, but I myself love watching great offense ran creating miss matches and a pass out for a wide open 3. I don't even mind the 3 seconds left on the shot clock step back 3. I hate, I mean hate, the dribble up and jack up a 3 for no reason or hold the ball and jack up a 3 over the defender just because, heck, it's a 3 go ahead offense.

Like the Nets this year. so hard to watch. When they hit 3's at a higher rate than normal, they will beat any team, bucks/lakers. When they shoot average, or more likely below average, they lose back to back games against the Knicks and Starless Wolves.

And it's like they don't get it and keep doing it.

I don’t get the hate on the 3 ball tbh. It’s better than watching contested mid range jumpers or inefficient ISO post up offense that nearly killed the NBA in the mid to late 90’s. They had to change the damn rules to get rid of Barkley ball. Today’s game is much more exciting and skillful

Serious question: Did no one on this team get a freakin flu shot?

They travel extensively, come into regular contact with the general public and need to remain in top physical condition. How does the team not insist that they all get their shots?

Depends on the team and how creative they are on getting those threes/layups. Not a fan of the Rockets and Nets offense. To an extent, I find the Bucks offense too mechanical and repetitive too. But I agree, in general, I enjoy watching today's basketball more than iso-heavy or post-play-heavy basketball.

It also fascinates me how teams adjust and defend the utilization of so much space and movement.

I don't hate 3's, or have any desire to return to 90's slog. But the balance has tipped too far, imo. Everyone knows that the midrange game is to be avoided like the plague. Moving the 3 line back would lower scoring a bit, but it would force teams to defend the whole floor because open 18 footers would no longer be comparatively as low percentage. It just allows for more creativity, both offensively and defensively. Right now every team is trying to do the same thing, and it's just a question of who can hit the most 3's on any given night. There should be more to basketball than a 3pt shooting contest.

I love the idea of guys who can hit from 27 feet out. I just am not so keen on every team trying to play 5 guys who can all shoot the 3, and do so as their first option. Making the 3 a bit more difficult evens out the odds, like where it was a few years ago when the 3 ball was a good shot only for a subset of truly great shooters, not for everyone and their brother.

Schedule gets tougher from here on out, but right now on pace for 60+ wins. Top 5 in both defense and offense. Best SRS since 2008-09. Who had that as their preseason prediction?

Why would you assume they didn't? Flu shots commonly protect against the ONE strain of flu expected to be most "popular" that year (or maybe a small number of strains -- I don't know for sure), out of the many that will be going around.

This year it covers 4 strains. That said, in MA right now both strains of Flu - A and B and another virus RSV are raging right now.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I got the flu shot in October, and then 2 weeks later, I ended up getting the flu. It happens sometimes.

As for the Cs, we're currently not on pace to break last season's franchise record. I think team put more emphasis on driving to the basket this season. Our bigs shoot less from beyond the arc. And our bench don't really have any proven gunners from outside.

Off-topic, it's probably not going to happen, but I want to see Javonte in the dunk contest.

Oh wow. I would much rather watch contested mid range. I miss the midrange game. Barkley ball was a slog though. I agree.

Power Rankings are fun this week. The Celtics are 2nd in a couple of the ones I saw, 3rd in the rest.

Pretty cool interview with Jackie Mac for Tacko. They also talk to Brad, Kanter and Tremont about him.

I tell ya, Kemba must be a top 5 player because in recent days I’ve seen it all from trade Smart, Hayward’s foot is falling off and that he’s an overpaid role player, Tatum is a selfish chucker who only cares about all star games and well, we all know about Brown.

How does this team have such a good record?

When Brad says somebody's an "energy raiser", that's a big deal for him.

By this metric, Curry, Klay, Kyrie, and KD are chopped liver.
