Donta Hall needs to be signed before he's poached...

He's just on an affiliate player contract with the Drive, meaning Pistons don't have any rights to him and he can be poached with a 10-day contract or another team offering him a two-way contract.

We're sitting at 15 players though so would have to cut somebody to make room. We could have a couple of trades on the horizon, but the Dre trade likely sees us bring back more players than we send out. I guess we can cross our fingers until that trade happens, than cut the salary fodder coming back our way - promote Bone to a full contract and sign Hall to a two-way at least.

We should let Louis King go and give Hall a 2way contract.

Never been that impressed with him but those were some nice hightlights. Maybe a good 2 way contract guy but nothing more at this point.

January 10th I believe 10 day contracts can begin.

Maybe he gets picked up, maybe he doesn't but ideally we'd make a 2 for 1 trade to clear a spot for him.

Galloway and Thon to the Kings for Dedmon is the go. Dedmon isn't fully guaranteed for his last year.

He's the ideal backup big in this league with his intangibles

meh. I wouldn't make any moves because of a highlight tape. He's current #82 in scoring in the g-league and he's doing it mostly on dunks. He's not a shot blocker and he's made 6 3's all season. If we finally flip that rebuild switch, sure, give him a look and see if he can be a hustle guy at the NBA level. He really shouldn't be a consideration in making trades though.

I probably wouldn't do this as King was a five star out of high school who was a one and done at Oregon. He's putting up decent numbers in the G-League given his age. I'd like to hold on to him to see if he can develop as a wing in time. He absolutely should have went back to school, but somebody connected to Oregon gave all three of those players bad information to come out. I like him as a prospect.

Interesting you did the homework to find him ranked 83rd in points but not that he's 1st in rebounding. Rebounding, hustle and dunks is a good profile for a third string center.

Looks like a high energy spark plug that can come off the bench in certain situations. Guys like that would be popular for the Houston or POR teams. Might as well give him a spot somehow

Interesting that you would lie about him being 1st in rebounding when he's actually 5th. Hustle and dunks are fine - if you can do that against NBA competition. That's generally not a "skill" that translates well as the talent level increases though.

Not a lie, but a mistake as this page came up after a league leader search - https://stats.gleague.nba.com/

So fifth, second/48 - in the category that is his calling card.

And to save you a post - He's 228th in assists as well.

We're going to need rebounding if Drummond and possibly Maker get traded so we have nothing to lose playing a cheap youngster for the rest of this crappy season. How we thin the roster enough keep him, Bone and King is the challenge. We need to throw Frazier and Maker, maybe Thomas into Drummond, Rose and Galloway trades and receive a couple players we can cut to fill out the roster with those youngsters. The sooner the better to see who's worth keeping going forward.

You know who led the g league in rebounding last year? Angel Delgado. Who is that? Nobody knows because he's not good enough to make an NBA roster despite tearing up the gleague.

If we make some trades and they free up a roster spot, sure, whatever. Take a flier on any young guy that shows the least bit of promise. That really shouldn't factor into a trade decision though.
