How soft is this performance team? 24 minute limit for LeVert? In his 2nd game back from a thumb injury after he went through 3 weeks of practice?
I'm just gonna copy and paste it into every thread. No idea what's going on with Rodi and Kenny. He clearly doesn't like him. Doesn't trust him. This guy started for us in the playoffs last year. He was a major factor in all of our big wins. He's cracked 20 minutes ONCE this year.
We're now worse than we were last year through 36 games record wise. Out of our next 7 games, we have ONE winnable game. This can get really ugly really fast. If we're 17-27, we might as well tank and start looking around for potential Joe Harris and Jarrett Allen trades. It's sad but it might be the best way to get a third star next to Kyrie + KD.
Rodi should have been playing, and LeVert should have been playing. 5 minutes of game time isn't going to kill him. That was an indefensible decision and LeVert was not amused on the bench.
Also, trading Jarrett Allen and Joe Harris is a seriously bad idea. I know things are hard to watch right now but if we want to field a championship team next season we absolutely need those two.
No, it would have been an all-time horrific decision to play levert in OT. you don't throw away your rehab plan and over philosophy around performance team so you can maybe try and win a single regular season game in OT...ESPECIALLY with levert who is already super injury prone and just got back.
We had the right guys on the floor, the better team won. we had our chances we missed they had theirs they didnt

Wrong, he was the 4 most of the time. Curry/Klay/Iggy/KD/Green. Or Livingston in for Iggy. They didn't have a traditional center. Dray was playing the 5 most of the time, and KD also played some 5 in that lineup as well. GS kind of played position-less ball. I agree we need a 4 man like Draymond but there isn't many of those around the league. KD is a legit 7 footer, he can play the 4. We need a 3. I thought Prince was going to be the guy but he isn't.
no it wont. 75-80% of NBA PFs right now are smalls.
If KD doesnt play the 4 it should be to play the 5 some in death lineups
he should spend 0 minutes at the 3

Great game... one of our best played all year despite the loss. Defense, rebounding, offense, passing, shooting all on point.
I LOVE Levert as 6th man leading the second unit (or spencer vice versa) and then both closing the 4th quarter. keep the pressure on. Levert seemed to have good chemistry with Jordan.
Prince/Temple both played great, which makes sense now that they are back in their natural roles not asked to do more then they are capable.
super encouraged by this game. we should be back to .500 at some point this year even if Kyrie didnt return as long as levert can stay healthy.
We do miss a closer.. DLo would have hit some daggers in a game like this. Once Kyrie returns we have that late game killer again.
PEople are over emotional due to the long losing streak... maybe its because i watch most of these on DVR now that i have an infant, but you can see we are playing good basketball and with levert back and anything rodi gives things are trending up

Prok nailed it. There was a ton of positives in that game. OKC is a western conference playoff team. They won because a future hall of famer took over and some fixable mistakes. We're trending in the right direction.

Yes and no.
Dinwiddie is trending in the wrong direction as he is battling new defenses and fatigue. His FTs have been inexcusable. Harris hasn't been himself and the team as a whole continues to take ill-advised 3s.
On the other hand, the defense has been much better, LeVert is back and looking good and Rodi may be coming back to life.

I agree with the general notion that the game had a lot more positives than negatives.
Spencer is going to have to find ways to score against teams packing the paint.

Paul Millsap, Serge Ibaka, Marvin Williams, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin (if Nets FO determine that injuries haven't ruined him), Markieff Morris, JaMychal Green, Bobby Portis, etc.Papi_swav wrote:DarkXaero wrote:KD can play 4, but it doesn't mean he should be our full time starting 4 (like Prince is now), which is what I'm getting at. So who would u rather get to play the 4? Name someone obtainable , not Draymond. And remember, Marks don't use traditional PFs at the 4, he uses to wing type small forward or hybrids ala Wilson Chandler and Prince. This is the new NBA.
All those are realistic PF options (whether trade or FA), and all of them are stretch bigs. Some of those names aren't names that I'd rather have (like Bobby Portis) but they're examples.

Is this based on actual turnstile numbers or pre-sold tickets?

Unrealistic. Most of those guys are old or almost washed up. Maybe Markieff Morris because he's been killing it from 3 and he's a tough guy. Remember, we don't use traditional PFs. Two wings.
