Fresh start is officially over. Time to see how they respond to adversity. We’re approaching the anniversary of “ask me July 1” right? Is that’s what’s bedeviling us?
Paul Pierce appreciation society.

At least we don't have one guy talking about how the "kids" need to "learn to win".
As long as the team sticks together we will pull out of this. Every team goes thru stretches where other teams shoot the crap out of the ball. It's a make-miss league, we're missing they're making. It won't last forever.

Celtics have had 1 lame win and 3 disappointing losses since the post above lol.

That's what some of you guys said last year.
There is a common pattern here and until that changes things will get worse. After the next 4 easy games..prepare for the worst.
There is a common denominator for the Celtics issues and that is not Kyrie

Kyrie? Is that you?
I agree to an extent, the Celtics are still 3-5 vs the top 6 in the East. That's not good enough.

They are 0-3 against the sixers so I think they did ok against others.
I am not a fan of Kyrie but I don't blame everything on him. I blame Hayward and rozier more.
They were #1 seed with him.
They sucked(10-10) well before he started to act like a jerk.
I like kemba more and I think they would be in NBA finals in 2018 if they had kemba instead... But that doesn't mean everything is Kyrie's fault. He didn't start the mess. He just made it worse and impossible to repair.
I feel like blaming Kyrie is hiding the real issues this team has, which are similar to last year. This team still has a chance unlike last year, but it needs a change

The core newspaper article on the endeavor seems to be https://oklahoman.com/article/5651832/ex-thunder-player-enes-kanter-planning-charter-school-in-okc
Awkwardly, there's an alleged Gulenist link that is firmly denied.

The Heat stumbled, so we're back in third place in the league (by percentage points vs. three teams who have 12 losses to our 11). And after the Pelicans blowout we're 2nd in point differential.
We still have played one more road game than home, but two of the 27-12 teams have a stronger road/home story than that, including one with night life (Miami) and one with altitude (Salt Lake City).

Theis is among the 20 FAs eligible to be traded on the 15th. I highly doubt he's getting traded unless trade ballast for someone like KAT.

I think this team is still figuring out how to play with all the top guys healthy. I predict we will start to see more performances like the Pelican game and wouldn’t be surprised to see a big run like 15-2 soon with big offensive numbers. However, this team is still flawed in the sense that it will have trouble exerting its will against top opponents. We are still a team like the Budenholzer Horford Hawks teams in that regard. Unlike those teams, the teams has Kemba and Tatum that have the ability to carry the team offensively in tough playoff games.
I think we have a need for a versatile enough veteran PF to defend perimeter and stout enough to guard Giannis and Simmons in the paint. The right acquisition could get us to the finals. Doesn’t have to be a star or a starter .... I just don’t think Grant is ready to be that guy yet.

"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

An ESPN article on the race for 2nd place in the East, while basically saying little, made two smart points:
-- In a conference with 1 top team followed by a pack of 5 others, finishing 2nd is a lot better than finishing 3rd or 4th.
-- Miami has a particularly easy schedule because the Southeast Division is so weak.
But obviously a lot could happen to obviate the prediction that the 6th seed team will be a lot tougher as a playoff opponent than the 7th seed.

Finishing #2 is very important for us unless the Nets jump into the Top 6 & the Sixers finish at #7 & we therefore see them in Round 1 or the Sixers finish at #6 & we potentially see them in Round 2. We do not want to see the Bucks or the Sixers until the ECF. We want the #7 seed in Round 1 (maybe Nets or Pacers) & then the #3 VS #6 winner in Round 2 (maybe Heat or Pacers).
I do not understand Point 2 unless Division determines if we are more likely to play an EC opponent 4 times instead of 3 times?
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Without checking, that's the obvious guess.

The standings (W-L by games, W-L by percentage, Point Differential) agree on a clear 1-2-3 right now. That said, the Celtics are far closer in record to teams #4-8 than they are to #2. Favorites are still the Bucks, Lakers and whoever of the next pack makes a big, successful deadline move or has some other form of strong improvement.

If only you knew what you were talking about before opting for the "awkwardly" snideness.
Gulen schools often soft-pedal or deny the connection, includingespecially when it would technically be illegal, such as with public charter schools:

Do you have a link that makes similar points but doesn't also say stupid and false things? (I refer, for example, to the article's obvious endorsement of the counterfactual claim that Gulenists are violent terrorists.) I'm inclined to believe that there's fire under the smoke of Gulenists making money from charter schools, and I wouldn't be surprised if they indeed have at least on occasion violated various regulations in doing so. And of course some people dislike charter schools, period. But I've never seen strong substantiation of stronger accusations than that about their operations outside Turkey, and I'm curious as to whether such substantiation actually exists.
