Sagaba Konate!

He fractured a metatarsal but should be back to playing soon.

Seriously, late 1st round, Daniel Oturu.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/stats/_/id/4397215/daniel-oturu

3.6 blocks and only 2.7 fouls per game. Has some potential to shoot from 3.

Haven't following too closely this year, but one guy on my radar is Mamadi Diakite. After being used mostly as a screener/finisher in his first few seasons, he's really expanded his game - shooting 3s, shooting off the dribble.

Obi Toppin

Where's the lottery pick needed to select him?

N'Faly Dante

Is a center prospect that hasnt been able to play yet (will play sometime in Jan). He is huge and pretty athletic, w/ some handle but also very raw overall offensive game. Very Masai like prospect,

These are three guys I like so far

Tyrese haliburton
-big guard that is a leader for his team. Hes a two way player with great length and instinct. Shooting needs to improve.

Jordan Nwora
Raptors need scoring depth and nwora is a player that gets buckets. Very polished player with solid measurements.

Josh green
A guy who does eveything good but nothing great yet. I think he can develop into a solid two way wing.

I'm driving the bus for the Neemias Queta bandwagon. I'm obviously biased, being Portuguese myself, but Neemi, who is expected to go late 1st round early 2nd in 2020, would be the first ever Portuguese basketball player EVER to play in the NBA.

He's a 7 foot behemoth shot-blocker, rebounder, and rim protector, with a nice scoring touch around the rim, and good passing for a man his size. Last season he led Utah State to a division title and the highest NCAA tournament seed (8th) in the college's history.

In Portugal there was heightened interest in the WNBA during the days of hall of famer Ticha Penicheiro. It would be great to see Neemi shift the sports focus in a soccer man country, to the NBA.

This is exactly my thinking. Let's say 1-2 of Hernandez, Brissett, Ponds become rotation players for us plus Thomas and TD 2

All of a sudden:

Fred/Ponds
Norm/TD/second round pick
OG/1st round pick
Pascal/Bruissett
Giannis/Hernandez

Chris Boucher will be in our rotation full time by next year. Place your $.

It's funny because I feel like the league has quietly abandoned the "project big" recently. He's someone that would go top 5 in most years in the past but might slide. As for a Masai-like prospect, I think the only project he's taken was Bruno and that didn't work out. We've favoured picked over college players. This might be a good year to take advantage of a market inefficiency if Dante struggles to adapt to college ball in a short season.

Don't think that he'd have the numbers to leave after his sophomore season. He'd probably go undrafted like Konate. Konate put up better shot-blocking numbers and can hit the 3.

Sports Illustrated has him going 40th, and had him ranked 29th for the 2019, before Queta decided to play one more year of college ball.
The people at tankathon rank him at 37th.

In comparing him to Konate, I think Konate was a couple of years older, 22, when he left college. Konate was ranked 58th overall by sports illustrated for the 2018 draft. His numbers were also impressive while playing in a tougher conference than Queta. It was likely his nasty knee injury that sidetracked Konate's chances.

I thought so as well, but I just don't think he has elite talent.

Aaron Nesmith now up to #22 on ESPN. He's the guy I'm drawn to, I don't really like Paul Reed.

Obi Toppin, Onyeka Okongwu, Precious Achiuwa will likely all be off the board but I like what I've seen from them also.

Is Karim Mane entering the draft? Could the Canadian be a 2nd Round target?

ESPN has Okongwu at 17, if we can get him id be pretty happy. He has a lot of Bam type qualities to his game.

Speaking of big French Point Gaurds

Abdoulaye N'Doye is improving this season

Hes bigger and older than Maldeon but has shown some impressive flashes both sides of the ball this season

His frame is especially impressive (hes nearly OG's size at PG, 6'6 with 7'3 wingspan)

All these prospects are African, is that intentional? Do people believe that is what Masai would go for or that is simply the best prospects.

Saw this on my TL earlier today as well. I love his game tbh, seems like a Masai type prospect. So much defensive potential.
I think a fair NBA comparable would be a stronger Wright/SGA.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:
