Which team will Brady play for next year?

Post#1 » by nymets1 » Thu Jan 9, 2020 1:24 pm

I'm feeling the Buccaneers as my clear cut #1 choice. He's got good to great receivers to throw to in (Evans, Godwin, Perriman(out of UCF), OJ Howard, Cameron Brate, etc. The defense was solid this year, really good vs the run but suspect vs the pass. The problem with the team is JAMESIS Winston with his interceptions in particular. So you can't tell me the Buccaneers wouldn't be better with Brady. They would have made the playoffs this past year with Brady for sure. As long as the Buccaneers just play solid defense, They are a playoff team with Brady. They don't have to be a top 8 overall defense but just be solid.

I've heard about the Titans but I can't see that. The titans just knocked you out of the playoffs. That be like when Durant was on OKC lost to the Warriors and than joined the Warriors the next year. Yes Brady has his rings and Durant had 0 rings when he was on OKC but going back to Brady, That would still be joining the team the following year that just knocked you out of the playoffs. I can't see Brady going to the Titans the following year.

My top 5 would be

1.Buccanners
2.Chargers
3.Raiders
4.Colts
5.Jaguars
"Bodysurfing and always drive with the windows down"

"UCF 2017 only undefeated national champions"

Patriots or chargers. Brady is not good enough to overcome putrid tampa defense anymore.

I don't understand this Chargers thing. Why would the Chargers move on from 38 year old Rivers for 42 year old Brady? I think Brady even had a worse season.

I don't really see him going anywhere either.

Chargers have enough talent to win with a game manager and a qb with playoff success.rivers makes too many mistakes, most say he is gone anyway.

I know he might be gone, but if he is they should draft one and start him or go with Tyrod Taylor for a year. Brady sucked this year. He's done.

Chargers would have made playoffs with Brady this season. Despite rivers' 20 interceptions many of the games were one possession games, clean those up and you are going places. Brady still protects the ball relatively well.

Rookie qb would take too much time to develop when you already have a talented team

If Carolina moves on from Cam I'd rather go with him. Tyrod Taylor even like I said.

For one, a QB with this line needs to be able to run....the line is crap. Plus, if Brady isn't washed up he will be soon, so what's the point?

If the Patriots don't match Brady's offer, I think he retires.

I like the Bucs idea based on having receivers to help him pass Brees for TDs. Belichick knows when to cut the cord with a player and if he feels Brady’s cliff is coming he will let him go if he’s not overruled. Brady may also be asking for a multi year deal making it harder for Belichick to believe in the contract,

Seems to me that anyone who watched him play this year saw a QB who could only put about half his passes on target. As much respect as I have for him I think he is done. So it really doesn't matter where he plays next year. That team won't be very successful.

Taylor is already signed, plus I'd draft one to compete with him for the job. Brady was awful, is done, and if he bounced back one season that would probably be it. The Chargers have about the worst OL in the NFL...would he be do well with that? Doubtful.

I like Rivers to the Bucs if he leaves the Chargers.

You can draft one to develop whichever way you go, that has no consequence to next year. Brady was a league average qb this season with terrible skill players, even washed up he is a tier or two above tyrod taylor.

Again you will not find an executive who would take taylor over brady for the next year, even in badly managed teams like chargers.

Chargers aren’t that talented of a team where 42 yr old Brady can make them contenders.

They have Bosa, Allen and James and that’s basically it. Huge question marks everywhere else basically with Mike Williams and Hunter Henry starting to develop slowly.

Chargers had one of the worst O lines in football. If 38 yr old Rivers couldn’t move in the pocket, how do you think Brady will do it?

Tyrod Taylor would do better because he can scramble in the pocket even behind a porous O line.

Chargers oline wasn't that much worse than Patriots, similar sack and pressure rates.

brady was average qb with what he had in patriots, in comparison chargers have much better receivers, running backs and a tight end, surely he would be better.
