I'm sure that Kwon will be fairly limited in the number of snaps that he will play. And I am not optimistic that Dee Ford will play; if he has any tightness in his hamstring before the game, the team will keep him out.

But getting Tartt back should be a big upgrade for us. Thus I'm a little more concerned about our offense than our defense. The Vikings have a ferocious pass rush and we have seen that our OL has had trouble keeping Jimmy G's uniform clean. Our line, particularly our tackles on their edge rushers and Garland in the middle will be seriously tested. If we win the battle in the trenches, we should win the game. If not......

Kind of weird how Street went from getting in a limited practice and being questionable for the game to being placed on IR in a span of 24 hours. Though somebody had to lose their roster spot in favor of Kwon.

Oh well, Kwon's return is much welcomed and needed.

Well they didn't want to cut Street and him having some kind of injury makes it seem okay I guess

I’m being a bit greedy but I wish we could also bring back D.J. Jones.

I agree, I didn't realize a high ankle sprain would not give him the chance to come back in the playoffs.

If make it far enough to the SB, would it be in the realm of possibility that we can activate him for that game?

No. He went on injured reserve in mid-December, and the SB is February 2. He can't be activated for eight weeks. He'll miss the window by two weeks.

I believe we are only allowed to activate 2 (?) players from IR during the year and Alexander is the 2nd guy so he couldn't come back anyways.

Thought a high ankle was 4-6 weeks, should have kept him off of IR and I would assume he could be back next week if we made it there but maybe his injury is worse

Keyshawn Johnson said Vikings have very good skills players and the 49ers have a suspect secondary. Not sure if he used "suspect" or some other adjective.

I'll bet he didn't say we have suspect pass rush with Dee Ford on the field! Even if we have a question mark in the secondary, that pass rush can cover for some mistakes in coverage. So good to see our old defense back in action!

Dee Ford, Bosa, Buckner & AA on the field at the same time is, as Clyde would say, pure sex.

Great news. I don't believe Green Bay suffered any serious injuries, though Lazard could be out. I thought Jaire Alexander hurt his hand, but I haven't seen that written up anywhere.

The defense only played 46 snaps on Saturday. Bodes well for them next week!

Yeah, the big three on the DL only played like a half-game worth of snaps (34ish for all), and Ford was at like 22. Alexander gets another week to get stronger. Arguably the most overlooked aspect of our game on Saturday was the defense or the run and the screen passes. We shut them down, and without that, they couldn't do anything. We'll have to keep an eye on Rodgers rolling out this week, a la Goff in week 16, but it's really hard for me to see them having all that much offensive success if this D is back to its early season form.

We don't necessarily have to double team anyone of their receivers, but I would want Saleh to give Devante Adams some extra attention on 3rd and short. Their offense is not able to create any push up front in the running game, and that's our biggest advantage IMO. On the opposite side of the ball, Jimmy G cannot afford to hold onto the ball for an extended period of time. That's my only concern with him going into this game. This should be a somewhat easy win for us.
