Nice to see Markelle Fultz really come into his own.
This is the Fultz I remember watching leading into the 2017 draft.

Gives me hope (like an idiot) for DSJ

Fultz is in a good situation and place for him right now. DJSr isn't. Question is there a situation and place that could turn Smith into Fultz? Not sure.

Out of thin air you have this feeling?

I mean, he's a quality starter on a decent contract
It really depends on what we get him for

We know from Begley, they have interest in at least DSJ and I believe in previous seasons they had interest in Frank..
We have the matching expiring salaries to attach to DSJ or Frank.
We have "extra 1sts" that I do think they're willing to deal.
We have the report that the Knicks aren't looking for just picks, but guys who can be long term starters. Covington fits that bill and is the level of player we can reasonably attain with what we have.
Yes it's out of thin air but us and Minnesota make A LOT of sense as trade partners IMO.
