laVar?
Lavar is a part of it. New York is just so much more then just being good at basketball. I honestly don’t know if he has the mental fortitude to be a star in NY. Seems like he just would get swarmed by media attention and I just want someone focused on basketball.
Also we need a guard that can shoot. And he can’t shoot right now and his jumper is ugly AF.
If any of the ball brothers have the mental fortitude to handle the NY media it's him. LaMelo's been in the public eye since 14 and been getting **** on the whole time. From people saying he's not an NBA player, to them saying he's not a 1st round pick, to them saying he's not a lotto pick, to now with them saying he's not top 5. He got **** on for scoring 100 points to raise money for a sick girl at his school. They criticized his move to Lithuania, the JBA, his move back to HS was stopped by eligibility, and the NBL. He's handled all of it extremely well, especially considering he was 14-17 years old all this time. If there's actually one think I love about LaMelo it's that. Dude has great mental fortitude and works hard to prove haters wrong. Now whether or not that can work against him (that Kobe mindset only works when you have Kobe abilities) IDK, but it's a good thing.
